Thanks and sorry for the delay in responding.

All I see in the Audit Trail is mainly things about fake web crawlers and a few that start with “404 detected at “/wp-content/themes….” and one that starts with “There was an attempt to send an email using the “wp_mail” function.” and I checked and that email did make it to where it was sent and lastly, ones saying I activated the plugins when I was troubleshooting but nothing about blocked as far as I can tell.

It doesn’t go back very far though, the oldest is when I reactivated the plugins. It lists 101 items just going back less than 2 days even though the setting is to purge entries after 14 days.

Anything else I should look for?

Thanks very much for your time!

    Thanks,
I am thinking maybe it would be good to have them change it back to however it was set before my SSL cert was installed and try to redirect from the non secure main domain name http along with the secure https to the new site, but then again I may be better off just leaving well enough alone especially if it may mess up all my secure pages by making them revert back to http or something unexpected.

As long as I won’t be destroying my SEO I’ll be happy, it doesn’t have to be perfect. Would be nice but not at all necessary.

If you have any thoughts on my idea I’m open but if not that’s fine too.

    Thanks again.

    Excellent!

    Thank you very, very much.

I’ll give the individual page redirects a little more time to make sure all the search engines have them and then I shall redirect the old home page to the new one so that the new site can be accessed with whichever site name (new or old) that they type in, thanks again!

    Peace.

Thanks, I guess I wasn’t clear, sorry about that and I see you’re saying to redirect as long as possible but I just want to make sure of something here if you don’t mind.

Basically I’m trying to figure out if when I redirect the main site name, does that make it so the search engines will disregard the individual page redirects?

And if so, should I wait a while before I do the main site domain name?

I don’t understand how search engines treat a redirected main domain name and don’t know if it’s like if everyone at an apartment building moved and had an individual moved card for the post office, then the building itself wants to stop all the ads that come for “occupant” so it says redirect everything to a new building, but that card the apartment building files with the post office ends up (intentionally or inadvertently) making it so the post office ignores the individual moved cards and then just sends totally everything to the new building but NOT directly to the individual moved to card addresses.

So, does doing a main domain name redirect affect in any way at all individual page redirects once the original first site can’t be reached because of the main domain name redirect?

Not the best analogy but I hope that helps.

Thanks very much for your help.

So, I should not do the main domain name and just keep all the pages redirected or is it ok to redirect the main domain name (“site1.com” —> “site2.com”) along with keeping the page redirects?

    Thanks very much.

    Hi @bcworkz ,

    Thanks.

I deleted that page and meant to come here and mention it but forgot to. I got rid of it because it was loading so slow, apparently they leave the full sized image they require for an upload on the players, and that, possibly along with any player errors, was slow and I didn’t want search engines thinking any of my site was that slow so I deleted it.

I’ll get word to them but have decided due to the file size of players loading was too big so I just went with a different setup, but thanks very much again.

    Peace.
