Thanks for your prompt reply James. I failed to clarify that I am trying to embed my own site content in my own site. So both the article like and embed subject are from the same source. And it runs on WordPress 5.3.

I have also tried to embed links from other WordPress sites and I get the same result.

About 2, indeed there is a plugin that blocks REST API (apparently for security reasons) but disabling it doesn’t seem to do the trick.

Could it be my theme?

Yup @bdbrown but I used CSS instead. I applied an absolute positioning on the “sidebar-top” class. The only issue now is that on mobile/resize of screen, the bar overlaps on site content ??
