Any reason why you’re using LiteServe over say IIS or Apache?

I haven’t used LiteServe myself, is it possible to use Apache? I think IIS has some issues running WordPress too.

Still no go. Can you have a look your your error logs? Try the install again yourself and paste any error messages found in the log for that time.

Just had a look, bit of an odd error.

Can you try the install on port 80? If I get time, I’ll try here using port 4661.

This is causing the Hard Drive to consume 100% of its available capacity, and when the disk is maxed out the entire system grinds to a halt.

Interesting, I’m assuming your hosting provider means that the CPU is under load otherwise it doesn’t really make sense.

If you can get more information like how many hits your site (or rss feeds) is receiving, cpu load etc that would make it more useful.

Personally it sounds like your host is a bit dodgy. I’d personally look at moving. But if you’d like to stay with them there are a few other options:

1) Setup some form of WordPress caching
2) Disable and/or delete the rss files if you’re not using them

RSS feeds aren’t normally the main problem in terms of CPU load, usually it is excessive spamming.

onsi, I’ve seen some issues with using localhost as the url (not just a wordpress issue).

Try a different domain, i.e. your ip address or computer name.

Do you have any plugins enabled? Try disabling them and see how that goes.

I recommend that you upgrade. Older versions have security issues.
