In reply to: Help please! Moved my site- can’t access admin nowok I’m almost there. I guess I put in dashboard the
WordPress uri and blog address as https://www.micromilestones.com
so by transfering all files to the root I was able to get the site up.
However, when I try to go to my admin it won’t work under
https://www.micromilestones.com/wp-admin.phpwhen I try https://www.micromilestones.com/wordpress/wp-admin.php I get redirected to
https://www.micromilestones.com/wordpress/wp-login.phpBut it won’t let me sign in! aaarrgghh!

In reply to: Moving WP site but have a question please!ok I think I know what the problem is. I never set up a permalinks (still at the default). WP I guess sets one up for you when you customize this.
So it’s safe to say at the moment I don’t need one.
PLEASE someone correct me if I’m wrong!

In reply to: Moving WP site but have a question please!oh…just in case this is relevant. I was having issues with yahoo permalinks when I tried to change them to a custom one (turns out I have to use their own plugin for this)
Anyway it’s currently still at the default

In reply to: Moving WP site but have a question please! Thanks for the response! according to that link I should do the following
In FileZilla ( https://filezilla.sourceforge.net/ )
Edit -> Settings -> Remote file list
Be sure that “Always show hidden files” is checked.
Yet don’t see this option on filezilla????
Also, just checked the file manager in cpanel as well as the original files I downloaded WP from and there is not htaccess file anywhere.
Does this mean I have to create one?
By the way, I am working with yahoo small business server. I know they do permalinks very differently so not sure if that may have an impact on this.
Thanks!!!

In reply to: Do Yahoo Small Business & WP play nice?Well found out what the little sneaky culprit is after much troubleshooting…thought I’d post it for those who may be having similiar problems with their wordpress sites hosted on yahoo.
Turns out yahoo doesn’t well well with the ‘pretty’ permalinks.
So after I used the custom option for permalinks noticed that the site was not redirecting.
Searched on WP forum and saw this post https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/135725?replies=24– very informative post on this issue.
I would suggest that if you are going to add a custom permalink that it’s done AFTER you’ve found a final home for your site and then use THEIR permalink plugin. Implementing it and then moving the site may cause more issues than good.
Hope this helps someone else ??

In reply to: Do Yahoo Small Business & WP play nice?Hey hi again ??
yeah that’s what I did and site seems to be up and running better this time around but still experiencing some funky things:
for example:
at one point home page was the only one displaying- the rest I was getting a time out error message (wasn’t my cookies b/c my client was having same issue)I make changes and shows up right away in IE and Safari but takes some time in Firefox
stuff like that.
Just hoping i’m not have a corrupt db issue.
thanks for the feedback!!

In reply to: Possible bug issue???forget…just successful created a new db and did a fresh install of wp and site is back up again.
thanks again for your help!!
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Possible bug issue???Hi Again,
So step 1 did resolve the issue so working on step 2. I ran into something interesting and wondering if someone has heard of this before??
I in the process of trying to create a new db for the new install and I noticed in my phpMyAdmin the database that was corrected with the original wp install contains a table named falbum_cache
Looked it up and it said it was a wp plugin yet couldn’t find this plugin in the plugin directory????
Could this be the source of the issue??? it was not showing in the wp admin when the site was still running.
Thinking of dropping the table and seeing if that corrects the issue but want to make sure it’s not something important.
Thanks again!!
