Yes, I moved my question over to a WooCommerce support ticket. Problem is resolved, but I have no idea how it happened. I just deleted and reinstalled the plugin 3 or 4 times, and then it suddenly was working. So, I have no solutions for other people to try if they have this issue, but I’m all set now. Thanks!

Hi – no, it hasn’t been resolved yet. We just started using the PayPal plugin instead of Square for now. I checked and yes, I’ve been testing using the latest Ver. 1.0.29 of the plugin. Where on WooCommerce.com would I submit a question about this plugin – in the support ticket section?

    Thanks for any info.

    Hi,

I just tried deactivating and reactivating the Square plugin and it didn’t change anything. I turned on error logging during this last test, and below is what the error log is showing. Will get system report too if below doesn’t help.

@jamonzito … try leaving the wildcard in the browser API Key settings, and also add each page. I had all in there and everything started working. And It was easy to identify which URLs needed to be added to the browser key just by going to the page that has a problem using the Google Chrome browser, view the JavaScript console, and the error message will give you the URL that the Google API isn’t allowing. Also, when making changes to the browser API Key settings in your Google account, the changes don’t take effect immediately – for me it typically took anywhere from 5 to 15 minutes for setting updates to take effect.

Thanks – I checked the console for errors and figured out what was going on. For some reason, in the Google API Browser Key settings, doing a wildcard like *.mydomainname.com/* doesn’t work. The browser key referrer list has to have each specific full page URL for front end and for Admin panel. So, adding https://www.mydomainname.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=wpsl_stores&page=wpsl_settings to the Google API Browser Key referrer list will get that Starting Point setting to work.

When the portfolio on a page gets very very large, is there any function built in to create pagination links to break it up at some point into separate pages? Just wondering – plugin works great, but have thousands of items to post in the portfolio. Thanks for any info!

Thanks for all your help! Even after removing that code from the wpsl-admin.js file, it’s still requiring me to enter a zip code for map generation, but not a big deal – found out that if I just put a blank space into the zip code field, it will generate the map, so that works for now.

And thanks for the tip on Firefox – even after changing the webdev toolbar settings, Firefox is still being buggy, so I’m just using a different browser and it’s working fine on the other one.

    By the way… Excellent plugin!

Thanks for the info. Removing the code above does allow me to save a new store into the system, but the system still prompts me for a zip code as required when clicking on the “Preview location on the map” button. An example address that doesn’t use zip codes is:

LG/F & G/F, 11 Stanley Street, Central, Hong Kong, China

Entering the above address into a Google maps search comes up with the correct location for that store.

Also, a side thing I just noticed… since updating the plugin to the latest version yesterday, the “Preview location on the map” button has stopped working – doesn’t generate anything on the map when clicking the button, even when using a standard US address with zip code and all fields completed. It was working okay before I updated.
