    I am being hosted at UltraVPS.com. Its CentOS 5 default.

    You mention AllowOverride needs to be set to All in apache *.conf file? are you talking about the httpd.conf file? What file exactly is that? I am kind of picking up everything as I go along, and could use some specific detailng, if possible.

    Someone that helped me set up my server, told me it was enabled. I then double checked it, by opening the httpd.conf. it does seem to be enabled.

    the wordpress site is set up correctly, other then this htaccess file (permalink) thing.

    I am also wondering does it matter what directory I set my website up in? Right now, the website is under its own directory
    * home/zukny/sites/mymorningstory/www/ Everything is in the WWW folder.

    I converted it to a wordpress.mu a few months ago, and thats why I need this to get buddypress working. I took this same process before, (When I converted), and I had no issues. That was before I switched servers.

    The new server that I am running on uses Centro OS which I believe is a Linux hosting thing.
