I tested with elementor (free version) and was working fine. Please have a look at screenshot attached.
There may be conflict with any other plugin(s) or slider js file might have been loaded twice. If you can screenshot, developer tools console then we can have a look.

are there enough event(s) (more than 2 in selected type (upcoming/past) ).
I just tested in mine 4 events in a rowalso, in small screen (mobile view etc) i have reduced number of events in a row.
screen: 1024 (3 events),
screen: 600 ( 2 events ),
