In reply to: [VS Event List] Object of class WP_Post could not be converted to stringThanks Guido for your reply,
I did suspect the custom fields earlier, but when I disabled the specific field group via ACF for Event post types, it did not change the outcome.
However after reading your reply, I disabled the ACF plugin itself and sure enough the page is now showing properly.
After trying out different things, I realised that the offending custom field is one of the “Post Object” type in ACF and the errors occur when the field has a value.
When I changed the field’s “Return Format” option from Post Object to Post ID, the page shows properly and I no longer get the critical error on the page containing the shortcode.
So I guess that’s ‘fixed’? Haha! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks for your reply James
Unfortunately our gallery cannot operate independent of the image CDN.
Just wanted to chime in and say I’m disappointed at well at this. I also would like the additional gallery types available, while turning off the image CDN as it’s affecting the quality of my images.
Are there any plans to someday separate these options?

In reply to: [WP Pinboard] Order by Random; Count 5 actually shows 6Thank you for the quick reply!
1) Wow, that page actually shows 100 bookmarks. In my case, I checked my own feed and using ?count=5 gives 6 items, while ?count=4 gives 5. So I guess I can change my count parameter accordingly to show exactly 5.
2) I see, that makes sense. I would really like to show a random selection of my bookmarks, but I suppose I might have to find some other way.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Subtitles] Problem with pluginHad the same issue with the <span> tag appearing in the ALT attribute of an image. The FAQ in the documentation was very helpful, I changed instances of the_title and things are fine now. Thanks!

In reply to: [Airpress] Documentation for ShortcodesThank you again for your detailed reply, am trying hard to understand your comment and the video/docs from Chester. (I am not good with watching videos, so and prefer examples and documentation in article form rather than video tutorials. So forgive me if I have overlooked details in the documentation videos.)
There is one very basic question I have right now – if I have more than one configuration in Virtual Fields, how does Airpress know which one to look for? Can I not configure that in the shortcodes? I am tripping over some really basic things at the moment at getting my Airtable data to show up correctly.
Also mostly I am working through shortcodes as I could not quite understand how to use the full Airpress API.

In reply to: [Airpress] Documentation for ShortcodesHi! I was particularly confused by the apr_loop and apr_populate shortcodes so I’m glad for your reply, thank you! I’ll post again if I have any trouble. ??

In reply to: Upgrade problemsSorry for the belated reply to this, but yes, deleting the files before uploading helped. Thanks so much!
P.S. If anyone has trouble with the smilies, those seem to need uploading in Binary mode…

In reply to: Upgrade problemsHi again… thank you for the help, as the Upgrade page now shows correctly, but I have a new problem now…
On the Upgrade page, when I click on the link to “Upgrade WordPress”, a new page opens with the URL
upgrade.php?step=1&backto= with another error:Fatal error: Call to undefined function: category_exists() in /home/[…]/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 527
I tried reuploading upgrade-functions.php twice but am still getting the error.
Would be grateful for any help.
