    Resolved! ?? I carefully copied and pasted the CSS rules you provided. Below is exactly how it looks…

    /*
    input.paypal_btn.form-control {
    display: inline-block;
    font-family: inherit;
    font-size: 14px;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #fff;
    text-align: center;
    padding: 10px 14px;
    margin: 0;
    background: #31a3dd;
    border: 0;
    cursor: pointer;
    outline: none;
    }
    input.paypal_btn.form-control:hover {
    background: #31a3dd;
    }
    */
    .form-control{
    width:auto;
    border: none;
    box-shadow:none;
    }

    Following is what took placed when tested:

    1. Firefox – First Button flashes for millisecond, then just shows text like it did when I first started this topic. Second button is fine.

    2. Opera – First button, text only still. Second button, that little small box with symbol inside and border around it when there should be an image, but there isn’t.

    3. Chrome (on mobile phone) – First, button, text only still. Second button, fine.

    The issue with the customized first button showing correctly was that /* at the beginning and */ at the end had to be removed. I just on a whim decided to test without those and it worked.

    When I first when to this section it said:

    /*
    You can add your own CSS here.

    Click the help icon above to learn more.
    */

    Being a novice to coding/css, I thought that I was supposed to put the css rules in between the two “symbols” like the text is. So sorry to have taken up your time on this. However…I still needed help with image stretch issue, and we got that resolved. Also, another novice can learn from this too! ??

    Thank you so much for taking the time to help me with this!

    Ok. Made some progress!

    The CSS rules worked for the original Paypal button, but not the one I changed the look for. The CSS rules are shown again below. Is there some sort of change that should be made?

    .paypal_btn{
    display: inline-block;
    font-family: inherit;
    font-size: 14px;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #31a3dd;

    background: #31a3dd;
    border: 0;
    cursor: pointer;
    outline: none;
    }
    .paypal_btn:hover{ background: #31a3dd; }

    Thank you.

    Davmerit,

    Thanks for your reply. It’s appreciated. Unfortunately html codes are not being accepted for some reason like they used to for me.

    Also, “USE HTML content type” is always checked, so that’s not the issue.

    I was able to fix the formatting issue on my own. Something changed whenever the wysiwyg formatting option was added to the Mail section.

    I have tested copying and pasting several ways and still have the same results:

    The only way I have been able to get the formatting to stick is to format directly within the Mail section. I MUST use the wysiwyg options in order for the text to not jumble and stay as inputted.

    Like I mentioned before, although I appreciate the thought of the wysiwyg (and would be happy if worked properly and could add color to text with it), the way it is now, it’s limiting instead of easier.

    Please take a look at this. I know something is different with how this is functioning. One should just easily be able to copy and paste and the formatting sticks.

    Thanks.

    Following up. I was able to fix the formatting issue on my own.

    No, I have not been using Contact Form DB. Something changed whenever you guys added the wysiwyg formatting option to the Mail section.

    If you re-read my post, I’m now questioning the formatting in the Mail section getting jumbled after saving.

    When text is copied and pasted, it should stay that way but it’s not.

    Is that not a plug-in issue if it’s not working in the plug-in?

    Didn’t one of the upgrade version change the way to format the Mail section text by adding the wysiwyg?

    Did something change after August 12th? Because that was the last time the formatting was working correctly.

    Hi.

    I was so focused on the html code given for the signature addon not working (not showing in email body), that I didn’t notice that there’s now a very serious formatting issue.

    Every time I copy and paste text in the Mail sections (1 and 2) of the form, it doesn’t stay. I’ve copied from Word, Contact Form 7’s visual tab and text tab and the same keeps happening.

    At first it looks how it should, but after saving, all of the text jumbles together and looses all formatting. It sends this way as well. All you see is jumbled text in the email.

    It didn’t use to be this way. It was better when one could input html codes in the form’s email section. Now it’s not accepting html codes. Now, the codes just show in the email instead of bold, color, etc.

    Please tell me how this can be remedied?

    Thank you.

    You are correct. I just used v2.5 and the same problem exists. I don’t know what to check with mail server. It’s set to accept html. I will email you with the servcie I’m using to see if that will remedy.

    Thank you.

    Ok. Just re-tested form submission again. Following are the results:

    1. All fields with input cleared.
    2. The form submission came thru once this time. (again this has been intermittent).

    So now I’m still left with the signature not showing in the email. I need to figure out how to get this to work again as it’s greatly needed. Additionally the form email is checked to Use HTML content type and my email client is configured properly. Again, I didn’t have this problem with v2.5 so it can’t be my configurations.

    It seems best to test v2.5 since I didn’t have this problem with it. But I still don’t know how to upload it successfully. As stated previously, I received a message stating…Destination folder already exists. (It listed file path) Then it said, Plugin install failed.

    I’m still wondering if I should delete the signature addon plugin altogether and try to re-install v2.5.

    So sorry for all of the posts. I just want to be thorough and I’m anxious about getting this resolved once and for all. Also I’m lacking sleep too. ??

    Ok. Sorry about post regarding Signature box not showing. That was my mistake. I re-tested without activating it back again after I deactivated it to upload v2.5.

    P.S. And all input information in the fields on the form are still visible. It’s sending the form, but it doesn’t look like it because the form is not clearing again like when I mentioned in my original post a month ago.

    Hi,

    I just tried again with version 2.6.1 then I updated to v 2.6.2. And it’s still doing the same.

    Prev. #1. I tried <b>test</b> and it’s not bolded. You just see the html code. I still don’t believe it’s my mail configuration or email client because I did not have this problem with v2.5.

    Prev. #2. Yes. I receive 2 emails for one submission. It’s happening intermittently. I tested just now. Out of 4 submissions, 2 of the 4 sent the form twice.

    I have save my forms and I had already removed rubbish javascript because I say your suggestion in another thread.

    Now since updating, the following shows in my form online where the signature box used to be before the 2.6.2 update:

    [signature* your-signature-field 500×100]

    Also, when I tried to upload 2.5, I got the following message:

    Destination folder already exists. (It listed file path) Then it said, Plugin install failed.

    I tried this with the addon plugin active then I deactivated it and received the same message.

    Should I delete the addon plugin altogether? I don’t know what to do now. It’s worse than it was now.

    Thanks.
