Having my uploads set to just “uploads” was an intentional change at the time I initially set up the website.

In the end I contacted my host and they checked out my WordPress installation. They couldn’t find the cause of the problem either, so in the end they did a restore to a month old backup. Things are up and running again, but nobody knows what caused it to stop working in the first place.

Strange because when written in Japanese as in my original post, the error message was able to output the encoded URL.

Is there any way to make the plugin simply accept a Japanese URL and encode it automatically without the user needing to manually encode each URL?

Yes, I am aware that this happened, hence the reason I posted here. However in the past shortcodes did work fine.

For the longest time they were working. Then after updating WordPress and Contact Forms 7, they stopped working.

Was it a change in Contact Form 7 or a change in WordPress 4.9 that caused this? I have contact forms on 2 different websites that I host, both business websites, and I would like this to be fixed back to the way it was if possible. Otherwise I’m stuck with very long contact forms that no longer have tabs.

Actually I found a another section that does not appear in the Polylang String translation settings:

Thanks for your reply. I was able to apply translations for the Title and Icon Link within the Polylang String translation settings, however Description was nowhere to be found. Is there a way to translate the Description as well?

I accessed the File Manager in cPanel and edited the php file (content-views.php) by commenting out Line 35 which is causing the error.

Everything appears to be working fine now. I’m sure they’ll roll out 1.8.7 very soon to address this issue.

I would also like to know the answer to this question. I have an editor whom I want to rename my media files, but I don’t want to give him admin rights. I’m also using User Role Editor.

I tried enabling “activate_plugins” but that didn’t work. Please advise.

Actually the Virtue theme also has a built-in Custom CSS editor, so I was able to copy and paste the code in there with no problems.

Here’s an example of the button style I’d like to use on my site:

After inspecting the element of the button, I found that the class is called “_self pt-cv-readmore btn btn-success btn-sm”.

When I entered that as the Button CSS class, it works. However the font on the button is black as opposed to white like on the other page. Any way to change the font colour?

Sorry, I just realized that I am able to filter by Page Categories. However there seems to be a problem with the filter.

I’m trying to filter two categories using the AND operator. It works for some categories but not all. Here’s an example:

Parent Cat A
-Child Cat A
Parent Cat B
-Child Cat B

Filter Child Cat A AND Child Cat B –> OK!
Filter Child Cat A AND Parent Cat B –> No post found!

There are pages that exist that have both categories Child Cat A and Parent Cat B, but they do not show up on the filter.

I see. They were created before the sidebar was created. Is there a way to program it so that it can include existing children? If not then I’ll manually add all of the children.

No worries. I’ve figured out a workaround for it by creating multiple trees with one for each parent.
