In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce Shipping cost by quantityanybody have any ideas on this please?
I’m sorry. You don’t understand. The other plugin “Ajax Event Calendar” is just a normal plugin like many others. The settings for the plugin show on the left hand side panel where the other menus for admin show, such as “Tools” “Users” “Media” “Settings” etc. When I log in as an ‘administrator’ I can see the menu item “Calendar” under the “Settings” option on the left hand panel of admin. But when I log in as ‘editor’ (which is how my client would log in) then I can see the other menu options, such as “Media” “Tools” “Users” etc, but I cannot see the ‘Calendar’ option on the left hand options panel.
This is nothing to do any problems with the Calendar plugin. It’s to do with your plugin NOT showing some menu options in addition to those that should show when an editor logs on.I hope that is now clear?
Ok.
I’ll use some other Calendar pluginThanks for your help
Yes I did. But I wondered why it was causing a problem. If there was some coding that was interfering with the database connection then someone needs to take a look at that and try to correct the coding for future use.
If you read my original post I’ve mentioned that I did DEACTIVATE the plugin, and everything worked after that.
Therefore, the problem must be with the plugin and not anything elseThe information for the database login must be correct because the site was working properly before I installed the plugin. It only displayed the database connection error when I installed and activated the Events Calendar plugin.

In reply to: Password not acceptedHi Kate,
What version of WordPress are you using?
I’ve been told by my hosting provider that a possible problem is that the theme I am using is incompatible with the version of WP I’m using, which is 3.3.1
So, I am now going to reinstall using an earlier version of WP with the same theme and see what happens.

In reply to: Password not acceptedThanks MickeyRoush,
I’ve tried most of the solutions mentioned in your link EXCEPT:
“Using the Emergency Password Reset Script”I am now desperate enough to try this but unfortunately my hosting company are looking into the problem and have asked me not to make any changes to anything until they’ve investigated this issue – which could be a few hours. So… I will try this emergency script later.
If the above works, I would be interested to know how this could have happened, so I can fix it, as I wouldn’t want it to happen again.
Thanks again,
NS

In reply to: Password not acceptedIt does yes, thanks Kate,
So that can be eliminated. Have you checked on the forums? Have you spoken at all to your hosting provider? If so, what have they said?Mine’s are looking into it at this moment but have said that’s it’s an unusual problem and they have no immediate answers.

In reply to: Password not acceptedHi Kategreene,
Quick question. Were your sites hacked into at all recently? Because someone told me there was a vulnerability with PhpMyAdmin and that may have allowed aceess to the database where stuff was changed. Even though things might be back to normal, a script may have been left on the server which changes the password.
If you site(s) weren’t hacked then at least I know this can’t be the problem and it can be eliminated.Cheers,

In reply to: Password not acceptedThanks for the reply rockt204,
At the moment there is no post or page, or much of anything. I was going to start adding the content today when this occured.
I can reinstall WordPress and that may work, but I’m more than curious to know what this is about, as it seems to be a problem experienced by many people. I don’t want a situation where I reinstall WordPress and a theme and then have to go through all this again.
But, if I don’t get many replies to this question I may just have to do that and hope for the best!

In reply to: Pages not updatingjust a quick thought – this particular site uses WP 3.0.4. Quite an old version and I haven’t had the chance to update it yet. Could that be causing the problem? because on one of my more recent sites that uses WP 3.2.1. I don’t get the same problem.
