I am new to WordPress, but I have a website and currently, I am using “Publishable Mag” theme which I think is not perfect for my website, I think so. I am currently writing on “Excel” website.

In reply to: [Twenty Seventeen] How to increase the width of the pageSir, my website is and now I am using “Publishable Mag” WordPress theme but the theme is not good for me. I came to know about “Twenty Seventeen”. When I install and make it active everything changed.Like my “featured image” of the blog and header image of the blog. One another thing I noted down that this theme has a less width like sidebar is more but the central blog area is limited.
I came to know about this theme looks great in terms of the text matter or menu bar, better to “Publishable Mag”. Now I decide to change it to “Twenty Seventeen” but not able to customize it. I want to make it customize like “Publishable Mag”. like my text should remain same and menu bar looking is good, the font is good appearing.
I want to use a feature image in it also.
Can you help me to customize it like my current theme looks?
How to apply changes to child theme first and once confirmed can actively to like the theme.
