hi there
I asked my hosting company about caching and received the following answer
“We are not running any caching on our servers however, I have gone ahead and restarted Apache on the server to see if that helps.”
this restart they talk about didn’t help, as the problem is still there. What do I do now? any ideas? Should I submit a bud report or is there something else I could try before doing so?
@pbks1040 why don’t you start a new topic with your problem?
I uninstalled and installed again, but nothing changed ??
My hosting company said they don’t run such service…
any other ideas? or should I submit a bug report as you suggested?
hello,
in regards to your comments/points:
caching plugin: none used
browser(s) cache: clean but problem is still there (accessed the plugin area via 3 different browsers on laptop, smartphone, tablet)
server site caching: I do not have access at the server, so I guess I’ll have to ask my hosting company. correct? or is there a way to do it myself remotely?
I guess that I can not uninstall and reinstall the plugin since I will loose all images, correct?
ALL updates were done follwing the notifications link and via the automatic update. I never updated the plugin manually via ftp and I never missed/skiped a version… I never skiped versions and updates at ANY blog element also…
if it is a caching issue, is there something I can do?
I spoke to my hosting company and they told me that
“The latest update on HAVOC server, where your account is located, was on 2014-02-27 as per the server kernel upgrade.”
Since 2-27 and until yesterday, the plugin was working MORE than fine… Any ideas?
well, I did update the plugins whenever there was something available, but I deactivated everything while testing but with no luck. Nextgen was working fine along with my current setup for almost 8-9 months.
as for my hosting provider, I dont know. But I dont think theyve changed anything, cause whenever they do change something they usually letme know via mail. I can check it out. What sort of changes am I looking at from their side?
here’s a screenshot of what I can see everytime I try to access the libraries section of NextGen. I can switch between galleries, albums etc, but whenever I am at the libraries section, the sub menu with the list of available libraries is vanished!!! In addition, if I choose to use an album, I can choose from the available ones (or create a new one), but I can not save the changes (and therefore I can not embed and use).

In reply to: search does NOT workUPDATE: I changed the callendar plugin from Event Callendar 3.1 to Callendar 2 and it works PERFECT. Any ideas on what was wrong with the other plugin? This plugin is OK but the other one was giving me the option to write an event as a page or a blog topic and then add it to the callendar as an event

In reply to: search does NOT workAnybody?
Search does not work neither in English nor in Greek. No matter what search keywords I use, the result is the same. ZERO ??

In reply to: search does NOT workWhen I say “does not work” I don’t mean I get error messages. I mean I get no search results at all when there should be at least one for certain search keywords
