In reply to: EDIT media library thumbnailsAccording to one of the moderators, ESMI, wordpress doesn’t have to develop anything for it because
“It doesn’t need to because there are plugins to handle it.”
I assume that’s not an OFFICIAL wordpress answer, but, maybe “why should we when someone else did it” is an official wordpress stance. That I don’t know.
I’ve had my own issues with featured image as well, there are NO options for that either, whatsoever.
Fortunately, there are plugins that do help.
Try this one. I really like it

In reply to: featured imagesHTML Tables
Tables are defined with the <table> tag.
A table is divided into rows (with the <tr> tag), and each row is divided into data cells (with the <td> tag). td stands for “table data,” and holds the content of a data cell. A <td> tag can contain text, links, images, lists, forms, other tables, etc.
this is from https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_tables.asp
no mention of bad practice there.Forum: Everything else WordPress
In reply to: featured imagestables and divs.. same thing.. you wouldn’t div it out either?
how would you lay out images mixed with fixed sized text block and other images that aren’t in line.. stagard images? like a checker board?
Mozilla doesn’t seem to have an issue with images in tables

In reply to: How do I exclude featured image from the post?I was afraid of that. is there somewhere I could do a feature request for future wp iterations?

In reply to: featured imagesi think your best bet would be to use a table for the 3 images and skip the featured image. you could built a template and use them for your posts. SEO wise you have 3 internal links with 3 alt tags you’d be missing out on.

In reply to: [Meteor Slides] Slideshow no longer linking to associated post/pageWe have the “support” version. Which is a link to forums. They are scratching their head and blaming the plugin.
(though by the look of it they do a lot of function rewrites. I had this plugin working with other themes)
As of right now my finger is pointing to the theme, I’m just not getting any real responses from them.

In reply to: [Meteor Slides] Slideshow no longer linking to associated post/pageI got this response from the theme guy:
“You should add the developer what function he needs to add to enabled this as we are not filtering anything in your theme.
Also I think this is a little confusing “Yes, each slide is a unique piece of content with its own URL, but they are never used for the plugin” what is never used and why?”Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Meteor Slides] Slideshow no longer linking to associated post/pageOK. After some searching I realize where it is getting the incorrect URL from.
When you go to the SLIDE directory you see all the slides you uploaded.
Slide Image Slide Title Slide link
when you put your curser OVER the actual slide the URL for that image is
?slide=(NAME OF SLIDE)
the Celebrity Press Theme is getting the IMAGE NAME AND SLIDE LINK vs. the SLIDE LINK … Unfortunately, I do not know how to fix this.

In reply to: [Post Thumbnail Editor] Stuck on step oneits not the width that Im having trouble with but the height..

In reply to: Media Library HellOh man Esmi, you are a piece of work.. LOOK at the screenshot. THAT IS THE PROBLEM. You can’t work with an image in the Media Library if the MAIN image in the edit area is cut off…. thus you CAN’T make proper thumbnails… do you see the red lines with the “?” where is the rest of the image.
Jackson, unfortunately, I’ve tried that. I may have to do it again and see.
