You have a wordpress theme with 2 sidebars and the forum integrates into the website as a “page” by default. So you’d want to place the forum into the website centered and without sidebars.
In this case you need to create a custom template for your wordpress theme without sidebars and choose it at the advanced options of the wpu theme integration settings.

wpu consists of two parts – wordpress plugin which must be placed into /wp-content/plugins/ folder and phpbb mod which can be installed with AutoMOD, so you can upload the unpacked wp-united phpBB mod directory to <your forum root>/store/mods

You can checked ON create wordpress accounts automatically and check off settings-general-anyone can register. So your users will be able to register only via phpbb and their account will be automatically created in WordPress.

emo_mooney, the 500 error that caused by incompability wpu 0.9.2.5 and wp 3.9 has been resolved in the new version of wpu. If you still have any trouble, please, start a new thread.

The admin bar issue can be solved by creating a controls you need in the pseudo admin bar which is a part of the header of your theme and removing the core admin bar.

Well, you have a complicated structure: two themes, buddypress and phbpp, right? And the difference between your themes is the presence of ‘sidebar-background’. And your site is https://ps4actueel.nl/

At this case I would create and activate a child theme (if you’d like your default theme to be safely updated) with a custom template without ‘sidebar-background’. And I’d choose the template for some pages as you need and for the theme integration with phpbb. So this is a solution without “Page-theme” plugin.

I had this issue too, so I just have removed the admin bar by https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-admin-bar-removal/
I’m not sure if you can make the admin bar to be visible at phpbb, but you can remove it.

If you can’t, you need to find an error. You can look it in the error.log, catch a moment when you open your forum. If it has no errors, you can go to your wpu settings at wordpress, turn off theme integration and turn it on again, and look for new errors at the error log. And post it here.
