    Thanks for your detailed replies. I completely agree on your second point. If I was starting from scratch again now, there’s no way I would choose the WP/Woo route. It’s great for getting something up cheaply and quickly but it doesn’t scale well at all.

    Thank you. I saw the Github issue (and fix) after I did some more investigation. My issue was indeed related to a staging site. I was removing customers on my staging site (as I usually do) but had left the Stripe plugin activated. Which consequently tried to delete the customers in stripe and detached the payment methods. I’m currently getting some support from Stripe to see if there is a way to easily re-attach the payment methods. Upgrading to the latest plugin version and the new checkout experience seems to have made it so the affected customers are able to pay by card again at least.

    Hi,

    I’m having exactly the same issue. Did you work out what was going on? There is a period of around 8 mins just over a month ago where a load of detach requests are sent for payment methods.
