First, go to:

https://console.developers.google.com/

Then open up your API project (or create one if you haven’t already). Then under APIs & auth click on APIs, then under “YouTube APIs” click on both “YouTube Data API” and “YouTube Analytics API” and click the enable button on each.

Here’s what I did (but I’m still having issues getting this plugin to work right now even with the API key put into my shortcut code).

Go to: https://console.developers.google.com

Under “Select a project” click on “Create a project” then give it a name and select it under the drop down.

On the left menu, click on APIs & auth -> Credentials -> Create new Key (under Public API access) -> Browser key -> Leave the referrers part blank, then click Create. You should now have an API key.

Hope this helps and works for you. I wish I could get it working properly.

Same problem here (it looks like the demos of the plugin on the poselab site are doing it as well).

I followed the instructions for creating a web browser public API via Google Developers (leaving the referrers blank… but I also tried adding my website url and also the IP address associated with my site… no go). I am adding the key to the YouTube Channel Gallery shortcut code for a playlist via key=”MYKEY” but now it just gives another error…

Error type: “Forbidden”. Error message: “Access Not Configured. The API (YouTube Data API) is not enabled for your project. Please use the Google Developers Console to update your configuration.” Domain: “usageLimits”. Reason: “accessNotConfigured”. Location type: “”. Location: “”.

Anybody know what else to try? This plugin is an essential part of my site, so I’d love to get it working again before trying to find an alternative.

EDIT: I went into the Google Developer’s Console and enabled both the YouTube APIs (Data and Analytics) and now it’s working again.
