In reply to: Not all categories being displayed in menuIt has been a couple of days since I’ve seen any activity on this problem. Can anyone lend a hand in getting this fixed? It seems to be the last thing that is holding me back from calling my blog fully operational ?? I am tempted to remove the category listing all together if it is only going to display a small portion of the existing (populated) categories. Something is not right about that?
Is it as I saw mentioned in another post that categories can’t be used as containers? If so, how can the code be changed to get around this? I’m learning PHP as fast as I can, but I’m not there yet. :-/BAM… broken with nightly update. They apparently changed database call names etc. Any idea when an update might be coming for this? see https://www.geekasaurus.com/clint/blog/stats/ for example of fugly errors. ??

In reply to: No comment preview in 1.2?ARRGGHHHH… the problem with this solution is that every time we have an update (which I am applying in hopes that other bugs/non-working features are fixed since I have not located a changelog anywhere) the plugins and modification of template text is wiped out. I’ve got preview installed and have had to reinstall it three times in the past month. I’m getting pretty quick at it. ??

In reply to: Not all categories being displayed in menuMy categories have crapped out too. They had been displaying previously, now only a small portion of them are. I have 24 categories (a lot are sub-categories) and only two of them are empty. Only 9 are being displayed.

In reply to: get_calender – no previous month textGood idea, but no for two reasons: It was fine before the upgrade and there is no text there to select. Drag the mouse over it. It is not just hidden.

In reply to: YAMTI :-)Thanks man, pulled both .css files up in dreamweaver and had a live copy up in WinSCP and made changes on the fly on the IP addressed site. Once I had it about 90% done I went ahead and did the DNS changes. Too bad I forgot to get a screen cap of the old site first. Cest la vie. Now you just need to help me get the permalinks figured out ??
ps… glad I was able to send a couple your way!Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Update Services Ping Not WorkingLaughingLizard, I made the change you suggested and am still not sending a ping to any of the services I have in my ‘Update Services’ textbox.

In reply to: Update Services Ping Not WorkingUsing 1.2-epsilon-RC1 … still broken. Any ideas when this is going to get fixed?
Is the temp fix posted by LaughingLizard the actual/end fix that will be rolled out?
Thanks,

In reply to: import-mt.php –> blank author in wp 1.2-epsilon-RAs much as the hair on the back of my neck got raised up over WillM’s post, I tried it in Firefox and it does indeed work there. So… that narrows it down to being an IE issue.

In reply to: import-mt.php –> blank author in wp 1.2-epsilon-ROh… that image is cropped of course… I’m running IE 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.blah.blah.blah whatever.
I know.. shame shame for being an IE user. Sorry. I’ll get over it soon enough. I spend most of my time in PuTTY/SSH anyway ??Forum: Fixing WordPress
