I can bring the site up from root directory URL but on my computer at least, when you choose a page from the menu, it brings it up and shows the path to the subdirectory If you manually type in the url with page name without the subdirectory it will come up for me and will not show the subdirectory in the browser URL.

Can anyone out there test it and report your experience?

    Did it come up?

Were you able to bring up a page from the menu?

And if so, what was the URL given for the page?

Thanks for your thoughtful reply. I had marked the issue resolved. I think I had some odd temporary blip that was hopefully idiosyncratic to that particular action and moment. I have my temporary logo up and running on this site using the web version and will use the plugin again when I get my “real” logo. On another site the plugin worked slick as a whistle. So I going to attribute this to user error. I don’t think there is anything you need to pursue. I will let you know if I encounter any problems when I use it again, but am not expecting any.

Ok, this has resolved itself (just got out of my computer and back in again) but have a general question of how to fix this if I have a problem again with it or any other plugin. The main question being exactly which files are modified by the plugin and what would I edit to get back to normal if I can’t access dashboard. I know I will be doing the favicon generator again when I get my official logo for the permanent favicon.

Should I backup all my theme and child theme files immediately before activating any plugin so that I can restore them to pre-plugin condition?

Oh, and did I say, it’s a super plugin – without the freeze that is.

Oops, meant could edit via Cpanel if I knew what and where…

I have not been successful either. And now have deleted my whole child theme and can’t get another one in its place. I have done child themes and modified headers on other sites but am struggling with this one.

I think the order by was an error on my part. I used an iframe because I did not know another way to get my content to the external site. It seems like it ought to use the CSS from either the host site or the external site so I made sure to put it on both. I know nothing about using a jquery Ajax call.

I will go poke around a bit more. If I make any more progress, or get more educated about jquery, I will come back.

Thank you for a great product.

Oops, well it exported my data, but didn’t pick up the order by and won’t respond to my CSS for the class. As I look at the long URL, I can see the words orderby and class in the midst of what I guess are the numerical equivalents of all the characters. Not sure what to do to troubleshoot. It does follow enough of my html to show the data elements on the proper lines. I used some pretty crude html, but that part worked, its just the order by and the class for styling that is not working correctly.

I will create another shortcode from scratch and see if I get a different result.

You are a star. I kept trying to do something with the export part at the top of the shortcode page. This is perfect and when I apply my CSS I think it will work perfectly for us. Once I make sure my CSS works, I plan to buy the editing plugin for ease of maintaining any data changes. You made my day. ??

If your WP install is on your same server with your hand coded website, you can use a WordPress loop on any page you want and pull posts from any category, etc. your page will need to be a php page, but even that is very simple. I know, because I did it on mine pulling news items from the blog for one page and classifieds posts on another page.

Here’s the key to it all. Display WordPress Content Outside Your Blog
