I would have been happier to pay $10 / $20 for a half-way functional product than plant myself between a rock and a hard place between the non-working free version vs bells and whistles more-than-I-am-able-to-deliver functionality.

Keep up the good work but this could have been a much better experience for a lowly user like myself. I am by no means objecting to how you do what you do, it simply doesn’t work for me or poor folk like me.

Thanks for the response, however, it’s like you ignored my question and offered me on how to make your plugin work.

I would really wish for support in leaving your product altogether. Nothing personal, I just don’t use it, don’t need it… it’s not you, it’s me! …kind of thing.

Do you have a way/protocol to wind-down, export, migrate out? I ask before I do it manually as I would appreciate your support more than reinventing the wheel here.

Hi there,

I am using “WP Google Maps” Pro and Gold addons. The basic version functions the same but limits the amount of personalized maps.

Steps:

1. Writing in visual editor the post optimizing the keyword usage title, slug, headings caption and images.
2. Writing in visual editor and keeping the readability good with sentence and paragraph structure to an optimum. Score shows green.
3. To insert map, I switch to text editor. Paste the customized map shortcode for the WP Google Maps plugin to show in the post. Switch back to visual editor. Update draft. Reading score turns amber. If I delete the shortcode for the map the rating returns to green.

I’ve been testing this out for a couple of months and it is consistent. I assume it is a false positive, but I would ideally like to be able to add an exception to the SEO plugin so that I can use it as a more reliable guide in the future.

To follow up this problem I found that the “CSSIgniter Shortcodes” plugin was conflicting with “Maps Builder”, I found after defining the Maps API and telling it to load inside the shortcodes plugin the api was finally loading, which then got me to question why that was.
I tried rolling back the Shortcodes plugin to a previous version when it did work and as if by magic everything returned to normal.

Nvoura thanks for this however, I had to modify the plugin so that the <img> elements had an ID in them

I’m having a similar problem!

I’m currently writing a blog post and the title is: “Site Visit: Parkside Avenue (November)” The plugin is giving me: “Site Visit: Parkside Avenue NovemberNovember%MYSITENAME%“

%MYSITENAME% implies my site title, ordinarily there should be a dash/hyphen between the post title and my site name… however the last word is repeated twice and the dash and spacing is missing (unless I backslash ‘\’ the last word).

After much hacking I got this problem resolved, I’m not entirely sure what did it but after reinstalling the plugin, disabling all cache and setting everything back to basic… then slowly throwing back my theme and script mods it went back to how it was intended to work. Very strange indeed!

I would like to suggest if you are inclined to make another version of this great plugin, is to allow more control on how the user information is displayed; for example: whether or not the posts are shown… I’ve had to edit it to not display the postsLink, and other controls would be nice.

After much head scratching as to why it isn’t working, I have noticed there is no option on the “edit” page of people (the page that uses the template) for adding said people. I’ve tried disabling other plugins to get this to go and re-downloaded/replacing my files… and still not got to the bottom of this. Is this a 3.7.1 error or localized error?

Hi Stefan, I see we’re now into version 2.2.19 (and I love this plugin) however I’m not seeing how to adapt for mobile!

I’m using New Nine Adaptive Image to replace the images to a lowere resolution image, however I dont’ think the two plugins are working, and less still is your slideshow scaling down.

Any advice?

I see, I am wondering if I can do this switching themes and turning off plugins at a time when visitors are at a minimum and check it then. The site is a local business and our hits are high during the day, and dead on the weekends. So please keep that in mind…

I don’t expect a magic bullet, my line of questioning was me wondering (if it doesn’t work with twenty thirteen plugins deactivated) what I should be looking at on my server config (ModRewrite)? Failing that my theme (with plugins deactivated)… if it fails, what is a common fault for theme error?
