If you click on the bottom of the image, for example, you’ll see it shows the After image, even though the control bar will be positioned at the top:
Right, BUT… the control bar does move to the top. So I feel like I did manipulate that with my css. It didn’t do that prior to my adding css. It doesn’t do that on load but it does move to where I asked it to. If I could make that happen with some sort of focus.
Bottom line though, I know you’re right. It can’t be properly modified without javascript. I guess the next step is to submit a feature request to Jetpack.

I just disabled it and guess what…my buttons work now.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Media Library BrokenFurther investigation shows that on the “edit post” page, besides the “Add Media” button not working, the “edit” button for the permalink does not respond and neither does the “XpertAccordian” button above the wysiwyg editing window.
AND… I can’t toggle from the Visual tab to the Text tab in the editing window.
Formatting buttons (bold, italic, etc) work fine.
So I think it’s not the Media tool per se, but the javascript buttons.

In reply to: Media Library BrokenWell that solved the issue for one of my WP installs but I have another that still doesn’t allow me to Add Media (although this one lets me see the media thumbnails) Will need to check out all the plug ins I guess.

In reply to: Media Library BrokenMy issue was due to the Custom Facebook Feed plugin. They have issued an update for that plugin and installing that put the Media Library back online.
Here’s the changelog for Custom Facebook Feed
2.4.1.1Fix: Fixed a JavaScript error in the admin area when using WordPress 4.5

In reply to: Media Library BrokenI am also having issues with the Media Library after updating to WP 4.5.
Clicking on the “Add Media” button in the page editing window does nothing. Going to the Media Library gives me an empty page where I should see the thumbnails of media.
I was able to upload an image using “Add Media” but it’s not visible in the Media Library either.I have several installations of WP, the ones I have not updated to 4.5 are fine. Just the ones I’ve updated have disappeared the media.
Corey Salzano, I took your advice and edited the instant_event column to allow NULL values and it worked! Thank you so much.
Man, I wish I COULD use an alternative to Outlook but that is out of my control. I gotta play with the toys they gave me.

In reply to: [Post Tiles] Hide Categories on PageIf you’re talking about the links to categories that show on top of the page, go to the Post Tiles settings and if you set “Display Category Key” to “Hide” that should do it.
vherbine, you are absolutely RIGHT! That was the issue with me. My 13 feeds were all set to number of days instead of number of events but my widget was number of events. Changing the feed settings worked. I’m so glad it’s a simple fix.
I updated to 2.2.1 and cleared the cache on all of my feeds (13 of them). No change.
Number of Events=3 still yields “No events to display.”This is happening for me as well.
I am using the Google Events Widget, displaying events as “List” and number of Events=3. The result is “No events to display.” I switch to Grouped List or Custom Date List and it’s the same. Grid view shows the month but no dates are linked.
If I switch from Number of Events=3 to Number of Days=1, I can see all the events for today.
I also have an instance of GCE using “Widgets for Shortcodes” and pasted into a page. Same situation: Using Number of Events=(any number) results in “No events to display” but using Number of Days = whatever results in success.
It was working fine before I updated this morning.
