In reply to: [Simple Twitter Connect] [Plugin: Simple Twitter Connect] No request token?lol well, I guess since the Facebook update (1.2) which has nothing to do with this, but for some reason overlapped in my mind. Either way, the error from twitter is still there. Sorry for mentioning the non-existent update.

In reply to: [Simple Twitter Connect] [Plugin: Simple Twitter Connect] No request token? No firewall on the server. It worked fine before the plugin update. It just goes to this url “https://twitter.com/oauth/authenticate?oauth_token=” and then displays that message.

In reply to: There is a forum plugin similar to vBulletin? It seems as though it already stopped working. This is sad. It was the best weather plugin out there. Thanks to you for always keeping it updated and answering questions. Please try to rework it for another provider, don’t let your hard work go to waste.

In reply to: Simple Facebook Connect trouble in setupAre you using the latest v1.0? It could mean that you are not inputting the correct Facebook Application ID.
Either way, it doesn’t matter whether replies can go back to Facebook or not. The Facebook commenter can click the link anytime to go check the main comment stream. This makes more sense, especially considering that the goal should be to direct more people to the actual post anyway and not keeping the traffic within Facebook.
Regular commenters will not know their comment was replied to or not either, unless the site has the subscribe to comments activated.
But the comments should still be stored in the database in case, for whatever reason, they are unavailable on Facebook in the future. Unless I’m misunderstanding.. the Facebook comments are not stored on the wordpress site right?
Thank you, that was very helpful. Will you ever be able to make the comments become part of the database?

In reply to: [Simple Facebook Connect] SFC conflict with contact formSTC Update: checking the box in simplepress forum to “allow multiple loading of forum content” works with STC!
SFC Update: Since doing the above, SFC now appears to be working flawlessly with Fast Secure Contact Form.
Addional update: another plugin that caused major disruption was “Xhanch – My Twitter” (used to pull in latest tweets)

In reply to: [Simple Facebook Connect] SFC conflict with contact formFatal error: Cannot redeclare class OAuthSignatureMethod_HMAC_SHA1 in /home/content/www/html/wp-content/plugins/simple-twitter-connect/OAuth.php on line 82
FYI, simplepress has a feature in the admin to “Allow Multiple Loading of Forum Content” or to “Limit Forum Display to Within WP Loop”
With the Allow Mulitiple Loading of Forum Content checked, this error is showing when trying to click STC:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class OAuthSignatureMethod_HMAC_SHA1 in /wp-content/plugins/simple-twitter-connect/OAuth.php on line 82

In reply to: [Simple Facebook Connect] SFC conflict with contact formIC, but as the developer of both STC and SFC do you see anything strange about the fact that SFC Comments (previous to v1.0) was working flawlessly with simplepress installed, and STC Comments with simplepress would cause conflict that replaced the entire comment form section into a frame of the simplepress forum?
