In reply to: [Plugin: All in One SEO Pack] Home Title Not WorkingIronically this is from the authors website:
“The text that you see in your browser’s window bar is the most important thing *on* your page. Make sure your titles are getting rewritten and the important stuff (your post titles) always come before anything else.”

In reply to: [Plugin: All in One SEO Pack] – Used to Be a Good Plug-inI agree that this plugin used to be the best out there. It was on the top of every “must have plugins” list. Now, even basic elements aren’t working properly and all I see the author saying in these threads is “it works, it works”. For example, none of the sites we are using this plugin on are showing the correct title on the main page – just the blog name.

In reply to: Start post id numbering with three-digits?for example, if you are a journalist and need 3 digit numbers at the end of the url in order to be recognized by news search engines. Either way, there are many reasons why one might want to do this.
So how can we do it?

In reply to: Permalinks/.htaccess problem – .htaccess not being modifiedfor anyone having issues with this. make sure your htaccess is writable before saving the permalink settings in admin. if you dont know how to do it, go to your ftp (such as fireftp firefox extension) and right click to select properties, then check the boxes until the permission level is like 777. If you can’t see your htaccess, go to tools>options>general (first tab) and check the box that lets you see hidden files. Now your htaccess will be visible – so do raise the permissions like I already explained.
Then go back to your wp admin and save the permalink settings you want. Now you can go back to your ftp and lower the permissions on your htaccess to like 644. now your permalinks should work.

In reply to: Having more than 1 style sheetOk so I found a solution, not sure if it is the best but here is goes for the rest of the WP-World.
I put the new stylesheet (“stylesheet2.css”) in the theme folder with the old stylesheet. And in the new template header I changed:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php bloginfo('stylesheet_url'); ?>" type="text/css" media="screen" />
To this:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/stylesheet2.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
Thanks
