Trust me … I was going nuts about six months ago when changing feeds, and still loading random old one which was not the new custom intake from data partner. I think this solution is actually in Charles’ old help info on his personal website, and that is how I figured that out.

This is actually simple fix. Enable ‘Links’ on left side of the WordPress ADMIN menu, then delete the “link” you no longer want to intake.

Holdover bug from WordPress where the system holds on to any intake RSS.

right now only fix is to rollback to WordPress 6.6.2

This is actually oddity of WordPress; you need to go to LISTS, on left side of WP admin menu, as admin user, and then find the “list” and delete it.

I don’t think the plugin has a ‘feature’ to extract image from the post and then create image to assign as featured post from external site. You probably need to add a separate plugin to do that. I have one that we use, but no longer available, so no recommendation on that.

In backtracking timing, I think there might have been a scheduled story firing off at exact moment I ran the clean, so possible that caused some timeout thing. Not sure. That, so far, is only complementary event. This is the only outlier I can find since all our sites use the same trusted plugins, as well as a custom plugin for code so we don’t have any oddball plugin writing to anything. (You know stuff like turning off “is this still your email?” nags.. ugh.)

Seems to still work on sites with PHP 7.4x; however stuck display showed two items already auto-deleted; selecting and hitting delete selected generated “unknown error” but refresh was fine. Seens to be ajax related.

For the PHP 8.2 site, I tried disabling plugin, then re-enabling, but that immediately threw the ajax error.

Thank you. The issue turned out to be a duplicated redirect for retired AMP location in both an htaccess file outside the sub folder where wordpress installed and redirect plugin.

okayyyyy,,,,, well, human error (of course). Looks like we had an htaccess file inside the sub-folder for news platform, in addition to htaccess file outside the folder, and there was duplicate 301 redirect for /amp and /?amp=n stuff, with different format, and potentially WRONG filesmatch string vs better regex version. So, looks like posts with certain words were trying to redirect to an amp page then redirect from amp page to non amp page, or somesuch. Doh.

Ah! Of course; I’ll enable that option to see if I can ‘catch’ what the heck is going on with that. Thanks!
