Thank you for the screenshot. I will make sure it’s fixed with the next release. Much appreciated.

The plugin only checks within wp-config.php file for any directives disabling WP Cron. If there are any, it will show you a prompt to fix it for you. However…

To be 100% certain about your WP Cron, I suggest you install WP Crontrol plugin https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-crontrol/ that will check thoroughly for any WP Cron related issues.

    Let me know your findings

    Hi!

Thanks for writing in and sorry to hear you have problems with the plugin. Please see my comments below.

I installed this plugin, and being unable to find a setting which would tweet every hour had to set timings manually for 3 days of the week

Right now, there is no setting that would tell the plugin to tweet using a fixed interval such as every hour, every three hours etc. These have to be set manually as you’ve done. That’s the correct way. I am working on a more flexible and efficient way to set up schedule to accommodate every one’s needs, so please be on the look-out for an update.

waited for time when tweet was scheduled and no tweet was made

If you’ve followed all the steps in this article https://nerdcow.co.uk/doc/tweet-wheel/troubleshooting/what-to-do-when-plugin-doesnt-send-tweets-at-all/ and everything ticks off, the only thing I can think of is other plugins or themes interfering. You might want to deactivate them all and give it a go. Additionally, please be aware the plugin works off your local time, not server’s time. Meaning it depends on the timezone selected in WordPress general settings.

Does your Twitter app has READ AND WRITE permission?

    unable to access theme customizer.

Would you mind opening your browser’s console while in Customizer and grabbing a screenshot of the console? It’s 100% javascript error / conflict that I will be happy to fix on my end.

Looking forward to hearing from you

    Hi there!

You are right we released a new version on 31st December. It came with many improvements and totally blended into your WordPress installation using only native functions and database tables. Due to the aggressive update we couldn’t save your queue. I am very sorry for the inconvenience!

You have to fill a queue in with posts to tweet like you did prior to the upgrade. There are many options on how to fill it, so please have a look at the documentation and at this particular article https://nerdcow.co.uk/doc/tweet-wheel/queue-management/manage-queues-posts/

Just remember that since the update, all queue settings are in the “Queues” screen under the Settings tab at the top. You will find a few useful options there along with the looping (which is default). You can learn more about queue’s settings here https://nerdcow.co.uk/doc/tweet-wheel/queue-management/manage-queues-settings/

I hope this helps you to move forward and start enjoying twheeling again.

If there is anything else I can help you with please let me know.

    Hey again,

I’d love to help! Do you mind if we switch to more dynamic means of communication where we can talk in real time and share screenshots should there be a need, please?

Do you have Twitter? You can follow me @NerdCowUK, so I can follow you back and open the direct messages channel.

I am sure we can get to the bottom of this ??

Looking forward to hearing from you

    Hi Joe,

Can you open your own support ticket that relates to your issue and I will happily assist you, please?

    Thank you

    Hey,

    Sorry to hear that.

Any plugin that will require access to your Twitter wall will ask you to go down the same route. It’s something that Twitter enforces and we have no workaround unfortunately.

If you want to access all plugin features you need to pass through the authorisation. Just make sure you copy and paste all values into correct fields and that there are no empty spaces around. It will definitely work if everything is in order ??

If you are happy to give it another I can assist you with that =)

    Let me know

We released the new version of the plugin on 31st December and nothing has changed on 29th December, so I am not sure if the dates of events are right.

Regardless, we renamed “Tweet Wheel” menu item to “Queues” and should be available in your WordPress navigation somewhere above Appearances tab.

Can you please let me know if you found it?

This is not support forum for the pro customers.

Please refer to your plugin “About” page or CodeCanyon listing for more details how pro customers should seek support with the product.

Please head off to https://nerdcow.ticksy.com and open a ticket regarding the problem. Also provide as many information as possible including screenshots, which will help trace down the problem.

Thank you for cooperation and keeping things organised.

Could you double check that you are using 1.0.1 version? The same problem about repetitive tweeting was raised in another ticket and that update has fixed it.

If you are using random tweeting i.e. the plugin picks up a random post to tweet about it might tweet same one twice in a row. Could you share with me all your schedule and settings, so I can set the plugin up the same way on my end, please?

    Thank you

    Hey,

Just to let you know I have released 1.0.1 version, which would more likely solve your problem. Please update and let me know how it goes! ??

    Hi!

I didn’t get anything on Twitter, just direct message me on @NerdCowUK and I will get back to you soon ??

I’ve just released 1.0.1 version which should fix the repetitive tweeting problem for you. Let me know if it helps!

    Hi,

Thank you for your invaluable feedback.

I have found the problem in regards to constant tweeting over the same tweet on the unscheduled times. I will be releasing a fix soon. I just need to test it first, before I let you use it.

In terms of the other issue where the Queue is blank, I had a beta version tester reporting that problem, but it was related to lack of memory only. Would you mind answering how much memory you have allowed to your website and, roughly, how many posts you have queued up on your website? I will continue looking into the problem for you meanwhile.

I appreciate you bringing the issue to me. I am happy to fix this or you.

I have just loaded a queue up with 100 posts and I all seems in order. I really can’t reproduce the issue when queue’s settings become unavailable.

However, could I ask you to check browser’s console for JavaScript errors? The queue screen and tabs rely on JavaScript and if there is an error for some reason we would have an issue like that.

Let me know and thank you for your patience. I am sure I can fix it shortly ??
