the page has numerous intextbib examples. One that produces gear: [zotpressInTextBib style=“turabian-author-date” sort=“ASC” notes=“yes”]
the page that is cf’d has no such problems as you mention.

In reply to: [Zotpress] PHP 8.1 errorsI installed upgrade from through WordPress upgrader (ie targeting the new version posted by @kseaborn to make sure there were no problems there). The php upgrader script on my webhost borked (don’t know yet why and it likely has nothing to do with ZOTPress but mentioning just in case) and did upgrade from 7.4 to 8.1Fast manually. All test pages seem to work.

In reply to: [Zotpress] PHP 8.1 errorsNo issues to report but no pressure or systemic analysis ??
since you have the diffs, if there’s no weird loss or appearance of punctuation and no major change in code release asap and hopefully we will see 1000 installs in 24 hrs and anything missed will pop quick?

In reply to: [Zotpress] ZotPress PHP 8.0 or 8.1 CompatabilityKatie confirmed that there was a php8 compatibility issue months ago but there was a bug in the tools she used so she was waiting for the one to fiddle the other.
I wrote to her about a possible fix for Atom but never heard back so I just wrote to her again.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Zotpress] PHP 8.x compatibility?Katie had written to say
I tried to install a php 8 checking script on Atom as well, but there’s a major bug recently with it not detecting php. I want to wait until they fix that, then try to fix Zotpress.
I no longer have the resources to look at the conflicts. One can only hope things open up a bit as otherwise the tool is parked. The plug-in needs a young contributor ??

In reply to: [Docxpresso] Docxpresso seems to have ceased workking with WP 5.5.3I think that would not be as productive as you simply using the file link I provided ?? since that way you can play with it to your heart’s content. Just download that file as odt and try to insert.
If you have the same experience you will see the result in your logs. If you have a different result…

In reply to: [Docxpresso] Docxpresso seems to have ceased workking with WP 5.5.3I have done some more testing.
This doc does not seem to work at all (when downloaded as odt, even when opened as ODT with LO and saved again): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1qWb7UNmO5wTCQaUIyrc64FhrH_t2qM7MoffusrHzhlc/edit?usp=sharingBut very simple documents still appear to work.
I have changed fonts and tried a variety of other options, but cannot get the odt downloaded from Google docs to work.
With additional testing it would seem that Google Docs has done something to the odt that causes docxpresso to fail to see any text. It apparently does not show up in LibreOffice, because I can open the doc in libre office and edit to my hearts content, and it won;t work, but if I copy the text and insert into new LO document with formatting removed, all of a sudden it works!
