Ok i solved it with my provider.
Solution: i created an empty file named advanced-cache.php in the wp-content folder.
This did the trick in my case.This was my previous post to cache for specific roles:
https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/disable-minify-for-logged-in-users-by-roles/Hi, i just had the same problem and want to ask if you from WP Optimize have a hook or something hacky to solve the problem that with your plugin it is not possible to serve cache to customer and admins in a different way.
It would be nice if it could be possible to “Serve cached pages to logged in customers” only! ?? not to all logged in users. Because if this would be possible it would solve the Admin bar problem too.
Is there a hook or any other solution for this?
best robert
Ah yeah and for the page Cache? There you call it “Serve cached pages to logged in users”.
Would be so nice to have here also the oportunity to define wich user roles should see cached pages ?? In my case i would only tick the customer, because they should see high speed cached pages too ??
But for the page cache it is not so important like for the Minified Files…
If you have a big page (3.000 above pages) it is even bit buggy this option… the Cache preloader needs 3-4 hours to process the complete Preload… and in moment when i tick the checkbox “Serve cached pages to logged in users” my hole Website break and i see everywhere 505 Error’s ??Best regards
robertYeay thank you, can you reply here if the dev team decided to add this to a version update?
I’m still surprised this practical feature isn’t more frequently requested ??
Thank You
RobertHi Mat,
thank you for your reply… i already thought something like this… ok than i have to
change to matomo on premise.thanks robert
ok i will try this on a new install and let you know what the result is.
robert
Thanks you this works know like a charme.
robert
One moment please ??
now i’m fetching same issue but not with the approve(); line but with the set_role(); line ?!
um_fetch_user( $user_id ); UM()->user()->approve(); UM()->user()->set_role( $right_level_auto_activation_role );
I got this error messge:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method um\core\User::set_role() in /home/wp/disk/wordpress/wp-content/themes/...
Have you any ideas what’s the reason, seems like the method
set_role()
is unknown? TheUM()->user()->approve();
works fine.seems it works today like a charm…
don’t know what caused the problem (caching, etc…) yesterday .)
I didn’t change anything in the code.thank you for your time and regards
robertHi seems your finger crossing does not help me out ??
I became a feedback by the provider that they hadn’t found any cach problem in their environment. Now i’m back to you… this is really strange isn’t it?
Can you look at this URL here: https://afinum.de/en/news/
If the News -Title and -Excerpts are in german the problem still exists .(I deactivated all plugins (except Classic Editor, Advanced Custom Fields and WPML and Ajax Load More) and the problem still remains…
I’m just thinking bout initiating a fresh install to test it in a very basic environment…
hm ha
robertouh now i have the situation it works when i’m logged in to the admin otherwise i have the same weird behaviour like mentioned before… ??!
i have to check now if there is any server cache that still delivers the old templates and old database stuff…
does your plugin uses any caching techniques? Can i empty them anywhere?
hi hopefully my delay isn’t interupting our support process.
i testet it and no it also does not seem to work on a standardblog
page.
It has some weird effects if it is added to stanrad page classic editor (get_the_title()
andget_the_excerpt()
worked here butget_the_permalink()
gave me the ulr of the main language and not of the current language).In the end i figured it out and found it was all caused by a single plugin called: ”
All 404 Redirect to Homepage”.We installed this plugin a view years ago, it had that time an entry in the official WordPress Plugin repository. But the entry seems not to exist there anymore ??
Found the creators website here: https://www.clogica.com/404-redirection-to-homepage-wordpress-plugin.htm
Simple solution i deleted this plugin ??
thanks for your time and best
