Thanks whooami, that first title bit you gave me did the trick when I pasted it into the header.php file. Very much appreciated. Now if I can just get the url’s to read the title instead of the ?p=95 naming convention I would be sorted. I tried goping into changing the permalink structure and using a custom structure such as this

but that scrambles everything. What could be casuing this?

Well something went wrong…..now it’s really screwed up. I am not very good at PHP. Isn’t there just a line of code that I can paste in the correct file to make it work?

Sorry to trouble everyone, but I had switched to a Linux hosting package. Did not know names were case sensitive. Problem resolved.

I uploaded the header5.jpg image again, and still no luck, and if i go directly to the image https://www.nevisblog.com/wp-content/themes/tiga/images/header5.jpg it brings up my blog. Strange!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You! I did notice that the whole page was “clickable”, but being new to this PHP/CSS/Blog stuff, I thought that was the way it worked LOL Seems to be OK now, but I would appreciate it if you can take a quick look when you have a moment and see if it seems ok to you.

Manstraw, you need to write a book! Truly a great post on educating children, and not leaving it up to the media to give their (often warped) point of view on sex first. Knowledge is power!

Jeff, hang in there it took me awhile to learn too. Several weeks of several hours a day, but it has been worth it in the long run. I don’t use the Word Press interface, I use a dedicated ftp client to upload. I find it to be easier and faster….plus it overrides any security features that I don’t know how to fix in the Word Press interface. Hope that this is of some use.

Make sure that the plugin is loaded in wp-content/plugins directory (folder)ONLY. I noticed that when I uploaded the plugin I uploaded the COMPLETE adsense-deluxe_wp_plugin_v0.7 directory(folder) with the adsense-deluxe.php file in this folder. It will not find it otherwise. Just move the .php file to wp-content/plugins and it should be fine. At least it worked for me

I FINALLY GOT IT!!!! It was your help in pointing me to the style.php file and not the style.css file.

I can’t believe that it took me 5 hours to sort that mess out….now it is time for a cold beer.

Thanks whooami. I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but when I pasted that line in, nothing happened. I gave up on that idea have spent way too many hours fooling around with that. I have since added the text centered in my image using grpahics…I am much better with that at any rate.

I went into the Dashboard, then chose options, general options. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get a title back in my browser window, and make the image clickable. Open one can of worms and find two more. LOL

Someday somebody will come up with a WYSIWIG editor for WP and make a mint!
