Fair enough, I tried switching to the default theme and Plugin Management screen is still not updating.

Since when does a theme control the WP Admin functions?

MichaelH – I could be wrong, but the theme shouldn’t have anything to do with the Plugin Management screen not updating?!

This is from the host provider:

Your account is still causing issues, rarely but “hard”. Every now and then he’s getting like 15-20 .php processes, that would immediately raise the load from 8 to 20. If his processes are not killed, they’ll slowly stop “rebuilding” and dying, bringing the load back to a normal value.

Here is a list of the processes.

I have about 30 different plugins, I have started to deactive ones that I don’t use anymore – is there a particular type of plugin that could be causing the problem?

I’m “guessing” it is not my config since I’ve always been using Fantastico to do the initial install and subsequent upgrades and track backs did work before.

Son of a ….. – you have to be kidding. Some thing as simple as that.

    Thanks!!!! that did the trick

I’m using an application called Vienna which says “an error occured when feed was last refreshed”. As for seeing, no content/ title, etc is being pulled in for RSS. But all content, title, etc is being pulled in for the corrent rss.

I’ve taken the ‘feed:’ out in my header.php file.

I totally get your suggestions above but there seem to be some common problems:
1 – no matter what theme I use the RSS isn’t working.
2 – althougth the bloginfo…. line is the same type of call for RSS as comments (see above) – only the comments works
    3 – deleting and re-installing hasn’t worked

I don’t know how you’re getting the RSS feed to work – I’m on a MAC and have cleared the cache and tried 2 different browsers and still can’t get it to work.

Just switched to the default and the same problem is happening…RSS won’t work; Comments works

    I have:

    <a href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>">RSS</a>
    <a href="<?php bloginfo('comments_rss2_url'); ?>">RSS Comments</a>

The funny thing is that I’ve now tried 4 completely different themes including the 2 that come with WP.
I have even tried to delete and install WP several times.

Ok, I’m lost – which file do I need to edit? I didn’t notice “feed:” in either the rss.php or rss2.php.

Also, is this a bug in WP, I ask b/c I tried to install it several times through the Fantistico which is provided through my host provider.

Moshu – sorry, should have said I’ve tried the same ‘fix’ after spending the time to go back through the archives I found this post.
I did take out the “feed:” and it still isn’t working.

I’m having the same problem above with an additional blog that I’m trying to set up on the same domain. I have installed and deleated it many times and it stiill isn’t working. When I go to add the feed into a reader it isn’t being ‘auto-recoginzed’.

Moshu – Tried that, he’s been great at getting back to me quickly but haven’t none of the suggestions solved the problem. So I thought I’d put it to the community.
