Thanks for the rating and review, we highly appreciate it. We are always eager to improve our product to provide the best slider solution available. Is there any parts that you think needs improvement? Or do you miss some features?

I can see that you are using LiteSpeed Cache. Caching plugins save down your site in a given state and later when the user navigates to your website, the saved state will be served. So if you make modifications on the backend but they doesn’t actually show up on your site, the issue will most likely to be related to the cache. If you clear the cache of your page, can you see still the issue?

We don’t have limit how many slides you can use in a slider.
In the Pro version of Smart Slider we have an option to limit the slides. This is the Max count setting which can be found at the Slider settings → Slides tab.

The layout of the slider defines how wide your slider will be, so you should use Boxed layout:

to have a slider with the width of the placement where you put it. You could turn off Upscale, if you wouldn’t want the slider go bigger from the Slider size:

When you insert a dynamic variable, then you can set the text length as well.
The option we have for long texts is the “Split by chars” option, which would cut off from your text if it is too long.

The length is by default 300, so you are getting the first 300 characters. If you want to display less characters, then you can decrease the length, and set the type of the split at the “Split by chars” option.

Can you see the issue in the Smart Slider’s preview or only in the published slider?

However I can see an image (Offline Attendance) on your screenshot which I can’t see either on desktop or tablet view. Are you looking for this slide?

The “Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.” error indicates that the plugin has not been removed entirely, so some of its folders or files were till on your server.
In such cases, we usually suggest connecting to your server via FTP, manually delete the “smart-slider-3” folder and then you can install it again!

The sliders you made in the database, not inside the files, so they’ll remain.

At our tutorial slider we have changed the order of the columns, because we wanted to put the image on the top on mobile. But you can change the order of the columns, too. If you want to change it on mobile, please switch to mobile view on the top, and go to the row’s settings. Then you will see 2 green boxes in the layer window, which are your columns. Then drag the second column into the first place, and the order will be changed.

I can see a # character appear before the proper URL.
So please go to the Slide editor, select the layer with the link and in the Link field:

if you see a # character before the URL, e.g.:
#https://example.com
then you will need to remove that, so your url should look simply like:
https://example.com
and that will most likely fix the problem.

You can publish your slider with PHP code, which you can put your slider only on your homepage:

You should search for the </header> codepart in your theme. But probably it will be in the header.php file of the theme, so you could open that up first to take a look there. If you found it, you could insert our slider right under it.

Also I can suggest in this case use the child theme of Astra, and publish your slider in your child theme.

You can set a transparent background color at the Slide settings -> Color tab. You can remove the color here, or type “00000000” into the Color field.

What kind of issue do you see?

Is your text too big or too low on your slider in mobile? In this case you can use the font resizer:

You can modify your font size with this function, and it is device specific, so the font-size of the other devices will not change.
