Try giving the container of the left aligned text a float, or a margin and give the text a text-align-left.

Any site can be made using WP.
But you should know WP templating.

To start off, use the free wordpress site else you can buy a template.

Then

• Pick a name
• Blog only about topics that you know
• Provide links on other websites: In case you make a reference on other websites, provide a link
• Promote: On different social networking sites

And please don’t be afraid if anyone provides you with any feedback.
