Marcel, I am sorry for not using your other support forum, but as this subject was already here (I found it on Google), I just want to say that I started to get this error today, although I did not do anyhting special.
I have the latest plugin version (1.159, updated with WP control panel), and I had to disable that “Use links API instead of feed API” option to make it work.

I am not sure what is better (links API vs feed API) and what are the disadvantages of having that option disabled.

Sorry, I did not notice that message.

In the meantime I realised that the post is showing on my page highlights. I suppose this has more to do with Facebook rather than your Facebook extension.

I didn’t donate that much, but as soon as I need to link more than one facebook page to my site, I will be more than glad to discuss this with you in order to pay for it.

As for the warning message, as it is closer to the “Delete Facebook Link” than the Edit one, I thought it was related to the former and not to the latter. Anyway, now I know how it works :).

Sorry, when you mentioned “development version” I mistook it for the Pro version, which although I did make a donation back in 2011, I wasn’t sure if I was entitled to use it.

I tried that experimental feature you mentioned and it seems to do the trick.
By the way, I updated the existing link on the Facebook page by editing the post and checking the “Update existing link” checkbox. For some reason, comments that were posted directly on Facebook were deleted, as if the Facebook post was deleted (along with its comments and likes) and the new updated one was freshly posted. Is this normal?

I’m having a problem which I’m not sure if is related to the subject discussed on this thread or on this other one.

Anyway, this is what is happening in my case: I have a Facebook page which is linked to my WordPress site with Add Link to Facebook. As you are all aware, Facebook is phasing out the old wall style for Pages and although I still didn’t upgrade to the Timeline style, I did a preview for my page.

This is how a post created with Add Link to Facebook looks like on the Timeline…

and this is the very same post on the old Wall style.

As you can see, the description text is not showing up on the Timeline preview, as well as the comments for this post.

Any idea why this is happening?
