I will be taking pictures, videos, writing posts, and generally just documenting interesting, fun and informative things. I will also be teaching English as well as traveling, so I want to have a teaching section of the site, where I can help out and learn from other English teachers abroad? I really just have a bunch of jumbled ideas, but ideally, a sleek looking, user-friendly website that will showcase media as well as articles…
I already have a webhost (bluehost) and domain name (not sure if I should put the link on here?) from Namecheap, next is the theme and the content. Currently it sits on a free theme that I customized for hours before deciding that I need a premium one.

Also, I just read on here something about how it’s a good idea to get a responsive theme these days; something about Google and SEO and mobile devices..

So I found a few sites with some premium themes that I like. One of them is StudioPress. Their themes have the Genesis Framework. I would like to know if this is a viable option for my travel blog site I am creating, or if the genesis framework is some experimental type of thing in the world of WP. NEWB HERE <—-

I’d like to find some unbiased feedback on this Genesis Framework and StudioPress themes?

Ok, I’m realizing that buying a theme might be a good investment. Especially because some come in packages and I plan on having more than two domains. Here goes the theme search all over again.

In the past when I’ve downloaded a free theme off www.ads-software.com, I download a folder that has a bunch of files in it, but where’s the theme? Not too sure how to pull a theme out of those files yet..

Those are some nice themes at welovewp. Theyre probably not free though.

Any other site recommendations for free WP themes? I know some have malware written in the code and stuff, so I want to go on the cautious side of free theme sites..

OH AND…Yes I saw that site. But when I download a theme, I download a folder with a bunch of files, but which is the theme??

It seems as if I have to mess with coding to use those themes?

Any recommendations as to where I can learn some basic coding? I’ve spent hours today customizing a theme I found that I liked. I set up the menu with drop down options. It’s lookin ok, but I don’t even know if I did it right.
