Hi, yes, we are running a multisite with object cache enabled. I disabled object cache and can confirm that the issue is no longer present. The post names are no longer repeating.
Thanks so much for your prompt reply! It’s much appreciated!
I appreciate you posting this. The plugin broke today (seems the YT API possibly changed) and I was considering buying the pro version in the hopes I could contact support to request they fix it. We are abandoning this plugin and finding something else.

In reply to: [Simple Share Buttons Adder] This plugin just cost me over $500 – DO NOT USESecond the above! I am honestly blown away by the greediness of the developers of this plugin. I was contacted by my host due to server load issues and did a Pingdom test on our homepage. We scored 70, with multiple Fs. There were OVER 30 redirect chains (tracking pixels and more garbage) and I couldn’t figure out where they were coming from… Thankfully I saw this post and uninstalled this plugin. Guess what? They’re ALL GONE. I’m now scoring 99% and literally ALL the tracking/redirect chains are gone.
For SHAME. Do NOT DOWNLOAD THIS PLUGIN!

Hi folks, have you discovered how to fix this?
I used the stackexchange snippet, but continue to get these broken links coming up in my Xenu Link Sleuth reports. It seems like every post on my site has one associated with it, and every single one is broken.
This link comes back as “broken” on this page: https://www.niagaracollege.ca/about-niagara-college/campuses/niagara-falls-campus/ – however if I view the source, I cannot find the link anywhere. I assume something must be generating it.
I read up on oembed and it actually seems useful, but I’ve love to figure out why these links are popping up as broken.
Thanks so much for investigating this, and the prompt reply. Cheers!

In reply to: [Heartbeat Control] Multisite conpatibility? Thanks @maxfein!
Copy/pasted the code exactly into a file I named heartbeat.php and uploaded it to /mu-plugins/ within /wp-content/ on my (absolutely massive) multisite installation.
No longer receiving connection errors. Page load has dropped by 4 seconds (it was bad) on the backend. No longer seeing massive wait on admin-ajax.php on site pingdom test.
EDIT: The relief was temporary. I’m still loading quicker, but the connection errors are back. Ouch!
Hi Yorman,
Darn, how frustrating (for both of us, lol!)
I’ve edited the core plugin as you suggested. I had actually disabled it as the mail rule wasn’t taking care of the incoming mails and it was driving me crazy. I’ve re-enabled it now with your fix.
I do hate to edit core plugins (as I might forget to fix that line again) so not sure what my final decision with this will be.
@birdog123 – By any chance are you using the MS Domain Mapping plugin/sunrise.php? What about an SMTP plugin for email? I’m just trying to think of unique bits of my install that might give Yorman some clues.
Good to see someone else is having the issue. I’ve had to set up a rule in the Super Admin email inbox to pop everything from “Sucuri Alert” into a folder and mark it as read as the non-stop “new email” sound was driving me nuts. I’m receiving emails about failed logins (we’re a large site for a post-secondary institution, so we get hit all the time), as well as any changes to post/page (happening constantly – again, huge site, always being updated).
I do not need to receive these emails as I can check the log within the plugin. Because we do get hit by botnets occasionally (considering a sub to Sucuri Firewall), I’m afraid of killing the poor email server on campus.
I can put a screenshot up showing the settings area with everything disabled and the email removed, if needed.

In reply to: Multisite and faviconsThanks David. For some reason I’m not seeing the “Site Identity” tab in Customizer, but that might be due to my theme. That’s all right since I can add it manually.
That extra broken favicon call per multisite that was coming up ended up being from my parent theme, so I’ll fix that today.

In reply to: Multisite and faviconsBumping… Looking for an answer regarding multisite and favicons.
I checked back to previous support posts and found the solution. The data source needs to have HTML, not HTML entities. I ran my CSV file contents through a converter and turn it into normal HTML, then imported and it worked perfectly.
Great plugin – thanks!
