    Hi esmi,

I don’t know. I will try that now.

    Hi everyone,

I hope I am posting in the correct forum.

I am running Child Theme for twenty fourteen. I haven’t added any CSS coding or HTML. One of the reasons I used this (simple) theme is that I am a beginner and didn’t want to deal with those things.

Is the coding for the Child Theme invalid? I have no idea what to do about this. Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi esmi,
It is a single site install.

Yes kjodle, it is the Blogga Mailchimp Newsletter widget. When I expand it for “list” is absolutely has his (and only his) Under “List you want to synchronize with.” I can’t even find MailChimp in settings to change this.

I need to get him OUT of the ability to get into the back side of my website. Even if I find a way to change the direction of the Newsletter (sync with MY list) he can come back and hijack it again.

Isn’t it possible to completely change themes and drop my website into another theme? Should I hire a trustworthy web designer (pay again) to have this corrected?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

    Hi Kjodle,

Thank you for responding to my post.

He has me as “administrator” and when he did a brief tutorial with me, we tested the the forms for subscriptions (to my blog) and the form for “be a contributor” and both worked properly. The test requests came to my inbox.

[Since he was several months late in delivering the website, and never did fulfill our original contract; he agreed to accept less money for a lesser product. He wasn’t happy about it, and I have a hard time believing that the path from the forms on my website re-directed themselves to HIS personal website].

It is a “custom” theme, and he (web builder) knows that I am a novice, although I have figured out how to use the site, I don’t have a clue how to over-ride something like this. I’ve been wondering why I have had no subscribers since 2012: Now I know.

My goal was to build an audience to get sponsors.

Quite devious, actually. Is this a common practice for disgruntled web developers?

    Thank you Jordy,
It was actually easier than I thought. I am used to having to figure out how to work around something for it to function properly. This plugin actually functions as described!

    I appreciate your response.

Hi, I am clearly a newbie at this, but I cannot figure out how to make the media file renamer work. Below is as my Dashboard screen reads:

    Media File Renamer ? Dashboard

There are 85 media files flagged for renaming out of 109 in total. Those are the files that couldn’t be renamed on the fly when their names were updated. You can now rename those flagged media, or rename all of them (which should actually done when you install the plugin for the first time). Please backup your WordPress upload folder and database before using these functions.

Rename 85 flagged media Rename all 109 media

When I click on the “Rename 85” photo/images appear, but when I click on the “Media File Renamer” option the option disappears. I click on “edit image” and there is no option to rename it.
Below is one of the images I’d like to rename: “Capuchin Crypt: Rome, Italy” before attaching it to my gallery so the current file name doesn’t appear.

    File name: capuchin-crypt-rome-italy.jpg

Can anyone tell me how to rename images?

    Thank you.

    Hi,

I hope someone can help me figure out how to re-size my images for my slider. One of the main issues is that I hired a web developer to build my site. It has been one of the most frustrating experiences – ever. He won’t tell me what type (name) of slider he installed, and I can’t get any valuable information as to how to change out or add a slider image. The web developer put the current images in the slider – I have no ability to add or change them.

He told me to never touch the “Theme” section, since it is “custom.”

He did tell me that my images for the slider must be re-sized to 960 x 400 to fit; and that the images must be re-sized before adding them to my media gallery.

On my Dashboard, I have gone to “slides” > “add new” > clicked “home” box. The slide created a new “Post”. I don’t know if it is because the size isn’t correct. The web developer won’t answer any questions.

Any help is appreciated. My site (a work in progress)

    Thank you,
    Joy
