Yes I did that, What I found works, is actually removing the image from the slim seo facebook image insert. I am using the featured image instead

I got it working now. It is to do with “write an excerpt ” section of the post settings. This enables me to customise the length of the copy that I want displayed.

thanks, i figured out the issue. The page i was editing was set to a different width than the default. Is was overiding the default. lesson learnt. I really could not find any info about this online or youtube. I cant even find a tutorial on how to create a basic page.
