    Hi,

With the latest version of plugin alla 404 error are fixed.
You can try to delete alla soft 404 errors from google console, update the plugin and test it.
Let me know if the problem persists or disappears.
    Thanks

    Hi,

thanks for the answer. Is it fixed with the version 2.8.1?
I have the latest version and marked all google webmaster soft 404 errors as fixed to see if all is ok.

I do however think that the issue still persists as I ran screaming frog seo spider on my website and all “pages” created by the plugin create a 301 permanent redirect.
Normally none of the filters should create additional pages.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
thanks and have a great day!

    Hi,
    thanks for reminding me.
With the update all soft 404 errors are gone, which is really good. They do however become normal 404 errors in webmaster (I’m seeing more and more 404 errors appear in webmaster, which are all the ex-soft 404 errors).

Is it possible to have all “subpages” not be indexed so they all count as the same page rather than individual pages?
What I mean is that atm more products & filters lead to the amount of 404 errors within webmaster increasing incrementally (which surely also isn’t good for SEO).

thanks and looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards & have a nice weekend.

    Hi,

Please can you test if the problem disappears with the version 2.9.1 of Ajax Prodcut filter plugin ?
    Let me know.
    Have a nice day

    No, I’m sorry.

They continue, but as normal 404’s with me also…

    Hi johson,
You can tell Google Webmaster to ignore certain query parameters here: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/crawl-url-parameters

For each parameter you can both specify what it does (reorder, filter) and whether Google should index them.

Thank you Maarten for reminding me.

I knew it was there, but I was too afraid to touch it.

I now have made the changes, so that only my most important filters will get indexed.

    Thanks again! Hope this helps…
