• Good point. This is a general problem with shortcodes. You can install any one of a number of other plugins to enable shortcodes in widgets.
• True. Sorry for going down the shortcode route. I guess I could add that and make it configurable. If you want to do the required copy-paste from another plugin, feel free and I would update it for everyone, but I prefer the control and predictability myself (eg I write on technical subjects, and some XPaths are valid emails, etc).

Thanks for the report. I didn’t expect my method to work perfectly with every page, so I am unlikely to fix this immediately. I had a look at your site and reproduced the CSS issues you saw, which seemed to me to be purely aesthetic and only visible for readers with JS disabled. So, I don’t see this as very high priority for me, though I am sorry it does not entirely work for you.

Thanks for pointing that out. Is it actually a problem for you? Very few hosts now run PHP4, and WP3.0 is ditching PHP4. There is not much incentive to update it now.
