In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce not fully compatible with WP 3.5@ chetan0412: Can you point to the location of the “register-plus” plugin to see what you are looking for in such a plugin? I’m asking this because Woocommerce has a descent registration process. You can even configure it to not allow your registered subscribers (customers) to access the dashboard. I never needed a plugin for registrations…

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce not fully compatible with WP 3.5@ Anderton. Cannot confirm that. I can delete orders just fine. Look for plugin conflicts. Deactivate all not Woocommerce related plugins, and try again – if succesful, try adding them one by one while testing the order deletion.
Also, it could be your theme too. Try with twenty-twelve if you have too. In my case the themes that I use are Artisteer themes that I create, and convert them manually to be compatible with Woocommerce (it only takes 30 seconds or so).

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Maximum Number of Products Allowed?Magento is a nightmare to operate – so many hoops to jump just to display anything. Woocommerce is the only descent e-commerce for WP, although I never tested it with many products yet. Good as a case study, but in the real world with many products, who knows?
That said, I also use Opencart, which is the best e-commerce for me that I found, but surprisingly enough it does not have product variation combinations the way woocommerce has to properly account your inventory. Luckily though, there is a plugin for that for $25, which does exactly that, and is better than Woocommerce, since you don’t have the 50 combination limit, and your variations can be edited easier on the screen, and furthermore, you can import/export these variation combos as excel files.
Finally, Prestashop is another good solution, although compared to opencart, the extensions are much more expensive.
I want to use Woocommerce because it has an extension that synchronizes your web site with Quickbooks. Total sync., customers, orders, and inventory. The extension that Opencart has for Quickbooks does only customers and orders. The other big difference is that the Woocommerce QB extension is automated, while the one for opencart, you need to manually import/export things. Your customers will not be happy with you with that solution. This would have been ok I guess, 10 years ago…

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce not fully compatible with WP 3.5@jkwalz: The files are located in the folder ../wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/assets/js.
The files that I replaced are jquery-ui.js, and jquery-ui.min.js.
When you download the new jquery files, their file names also contain the version number. You need to rename them to match with the ones from your installation. Note that there are also 2 other jquery files, that I don’t know what they are yet… As I said before, I will do a thorough testing tonight and tomorrow, and report any additional issues.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce not fully compatible with WP 3.5A quick update…
iwkse was correct, at least it seems to be the case so far. I did not do a thorough testing yet, and I did not test any Woocommerce plugins either. I will do that later on tonight.
– So after I replaced the jquery library files (2 files to be exact), in the Woocommerce plugin folder, the list sorting and the filter widgets started working right away.
– I originally had a problem with the product variations, but it seems that that is working now too. So after changing some variation combos for a product, on the web site the variations were not showing up. After checking with the backsite again, I noticed that all the variations for that product had been reset to null values. This could have been because the old jquery files were still in my browser’s cache. A quick Ctrl+F5, and rebuilding of the variations fixed that problem.
Obviously I will need to throw everything I can imagine to this setup, plus testing all the woocommerce related plugins (extensions) to make sure that this was the only problem.
If you guys don’t here from me again here, it means that I could not detect any other problems.
Last notes. Always backup everything before updating anything, whether it’s the core, or any plugin. Run a cloned version on a dev. server if you have to, and test things there initially, and never on a live WORKING site.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Woocommerce not fully compatible with WP 3.5Too late for not upgrading… and thanks for the info. I will try to locate and manually update the jquery in Woocommerce. Will the product variations work after the manual fix?
Thanks again guys, and it’s good to know, it was Woocommerce’s fault and not mine !
Crap. You are going to get me killed! Check your email in 5 minutes…
I appreciate that.
Someone not knowing what’s going on here though, from your post will think that I was seeking them out, or making money in any way. That is not true in either case.
They are all yours…
Check your email Tina. Christmas comes in May this year!
Hey Tina,
I would gladly do so, … but where?
Thanks guys. Glad to help out.
I am about to email you Noel. What the hell is wrong with this company? They did the difficult part, and created a nice program, and they can’t roll it out correctly? Which donkey is responsible for all this chaos?
I will email you shortly…
The latest version 2.1, with the latest version of the plugin (found here), works fine with WP 3.X.
For a while the plugin that was hosted at their site was outdated which is stupid. They updated the plugin here, but not at their own site? Anyway, that was the case a few weeks ago, probably that is not the case now. Also, for whatever reason, if you read above, Christian could not get the latest plugin (not the program, but the plugin in Italy), so I emailed it to him.
I hope this helps. It definitely works, you just need to have the right versions of both the software and the plugin…
Sure, no problem…
