In reply to: Having ‘www’ in my URL gives me errors with wordpressI’m sorry that I can’t offer any help, but it’s kind of funny that that Safari is giving you problems on a website dedicated to Apple.

In reply to: Which stat count seems to work best?????I use awstats to keep track of search engine activity, etc., but I use StatCounter.com to get a more realistic look at visitor activity. StatCounter lets you set a blocking cookie so it doesn’t count your own visits. If your site isn’t terribly high traffic, or if you’re doing a lot of active development, and are re-checking your pages frequently, then self visits can skew the stats.

In reply to: Adding Post IDsThere’s actually an SQL query that you can run to reset the auto-increment to the highest value currently in the database (in case you delete some entries, for example). Not sure what it is off the top of my head, but I’ve found it in the past, so I’m sure you’ll be able to dig it up.
Hope this helps, nickel

In reply to: WP-ContactForm ProblemLike cjraven, I am having trouble with this plugin using the Gila theme. The form doesn’t render properly. Using Mac/FF the form shows up pushed way down to the bottom of the page, so I have to scroll down to it. Same deal with Safari. Using Mac/IE the rendering is even worse… The top field shows up in place, but the the rest of the form is pushed way down, and the field labels are pushed even further down the page. Can anyone offer some advice?

In reply to: Alternate full text RSS feeds? You could keep your regular feed as it is, run it through FeedBurner to create a summary, and then offer that url as the one to use for summaries.

In reply to: quick site check/help pleaseHmm… Just found the problem with IE and I think I fixed it. It was a commented out AdSense box. Looked like the code was okay, but deleting it fixed it on my end. I’d still like to hear if it’s fixed on other browsers/platforms, though. Thanks.

In reply to: The Madness!I like the simplicity, but it’s a bit hard on the eyes. I actually think that any small text on that background is going to be hard to read.

In reply to: FiveCentNickel – Thoughts?Okay, I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with my previous layout, so I switched themes (at least temporarily). I am now using a slightly modified version of Gila, and I’m hoping that it’s behaving across all platforms/browsers.
If you don’t mind taking a look at it, I would greatly appreciate hearing how it’s doing:
