In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] Updated WordPress and integration.This plugin is dead now that Shopify removed the plugin that ours relies on.
If you can find a copy of their plugin it might still work but I wouldn’t rely on it for a real store.
The test site is probably running something old like 4.5, I’m not sure I didn’t even know it was still running.
Sorry.

In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] Cannot activate the pluginThat’s strange. I just tried it out and it’s working fine on my test site. Are you still having trouble?

In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] Cannot activate the pluginUnfortunately Shopify removed their plugin from the WordPress plugin repo.
I have a copy of the plugin uploaded here that you can use in the meantime until we figure out the future of our plugin.
1. You can keep your current site and still let Shopify do all the order processing/POS integration.
2. Yes, you will need to import all your current products into Shopify.
3. Everything except for the price is handled on the WooCommerce side. So for new products you’ll need to create the product in Shopify but you only need to set the title and price. The photos, description and everything else will be set in WooCommerce. So unless you are changing the price if you need to edit that product you only need to update the WooCommerce listing.

In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] Duplicated Add to cart buttonSorry about the confusion. I’ll work on putting together a detailed walkthrough.

In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] PaymentsEverything connected with payments is handled on the Shopify side (our plugin doesn’t have anything to do with it). If you contact Shopify support they should be able to sort out why it’s not showing up for you.

In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] Features of ModuleActually nothing is synced ?? . All the order/customer information is stored by Shopify. Also the product details aren’t synced either. WooCommerce is just used for the displaying of the products, everything else is handled by Shopify.
Since the WooCommerce side is what the customer actually sees the only part I fill out on the Shopify side is the product name and price. Everything else I just add to the WooCommerce product.
I would really like to tackle syncing of everything someday but it is a pretty big undertaking.

In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] No Add to Cart Button??You’ll probably need to contact Shopify about the button not showing up issue. We don’t do anything with the buttons but connect them to WC. Shopify would be better able to diagnosis why they aren’t showing up:
https://www.shopify.com/contactThey should be able to help you with the other issue (as it is likely caused by their embeds).

In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] No Add to Cart Button??If you add this line of CSS to your site it will hide the cart icon in the header:
.shopping_cart_outer {
display: none;

In reply to: [Shopify Connect for WooCommerce] Generate embed codeSorry for the late reply.
Are you still having trouble with this?
But it doesn’t really matter if the product url is storename.myshopify.com/product as the entire transaction happens on pinterest. They aren’t redirected to your Shopify online store at any time.
One of Shopify’s biggest selling points via the WordPress plugin is access to your partnerships and I think it would be really helpful if you provided some documentation on using all of these partnerships without having using the Shopify online store feature.
Couldn’t they just activate the Online Store sales channel (and not use it) and then still get access to buyable pins. The information used for buyable pins is pulled from the same products and settings as the buy button sales channel. You will end up pay $20 more (assuming you are on the $9/month plan) a month for a feature (the online store sales channel) you aren’t really using but that seems like a small price to pay for access to buyable pins.
I currently have a site where I use the WordPress plugin & buyable pins so I know it is possible.
