In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] Frontend erro message – won't load tasksHi Netivity,
that might help you to determine the problem as well.
I can’t see the task lists as an anonymous user, so it’s impossible to say where it goes wrong.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] Frontend erro message – won't load tasksHi Netivity,
I’d need a user account with permissions in order to check ??

In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] Error loading task listHi Enquirer,
the problem was a server setting, which caused undeclared variables in WordPress to generate notices and corrupt the output when the data is retrieved from the server.
You can either fix it by either changing your server settings or replacing the php file (I actually thought it would be fixed in the new version).
Can you give me the URL to your site please?Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] pro versionHi Eddie,
unfortunately not. I took on another project which has to be prioritized.
I don’t know when I’ll get to it, it’ll likely only be in a few months. In the free version all todo’s are visible for all users who have access to the list, the pro-version will be a bit more advanced and will likely support “private” todo-lists.
Automatically adding certain todo’s and lists for users would be as easy as creating the records into the WordPress database when a user is created.
If it is not urgent, you could wait until the pro-version is available and then do a small amount of custom programming.I won’t have the time to do it now though, sorry ??
Glad you like the plugin!

In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] not a valid headerIt seems to be a general error thrown by an internal WordPress function when a plugin cannot be validated.
Some of those errors seem to be due to file system settings etc as well, and it doesn’t look like there’s a way to get WordPress to be a bit more clear with their error messages.
Seeing as the plugin is working, and the description/author information is being read correctly, I doubt it has to do with the actual plugin header. I wasn’t able to replicate the issue either.I don’t think this one is fixable with a change in the plugin though..
Can I mark this as not being a plugin issue?— from a random blog —
I also ran into this problem recently. In the end it’s to do with the permissions on the plugins directory. The web server needs write access to certain files when they are uploaded. If your server is running with group write permissions, the upload script doesn’t necessarily set the group write bit on the necessary files, only owner write permission.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] not a valid headerMight it be due to this?

It happens due to duplicate copy of a folder inside a folder. It happens when you unzip a folder. like /wordpress/wordpress/…make sure that you keep on level only.
Thanks

In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] not a valid headerThat’s strange, but thank you for letting me know.
From what I can understand it seems to be something with the format of the plugin header, but I can’t find an error there. Will keep looking, I hope it doesn’t affect everyone.
Thanks!Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] user rights in Simple Tasks & Todo'sHi there,
In this version tasks and task lists are visible to anyone who has permission to view the task lists. (users either see all tasks and tasks lists, or nothing at all).
That is not only administrators though, you can give normal users permission as well. Just tick them off in the plugin settings, under “Settings” > “Simple Tasks & Todo’s” ??You’ll be able to specify who can view a task list in the pro version (configure visibility per task list) and assign specific tasks to people.
Hope this helps ??

In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] error on 'Create new task list'Thank you for the feedback.
An activation per site will likely fix the problem, but I’m surprised the task list interface is showing up regardless of that site-specific activation.
Something to fix on my side it seems. Please let me know if site-specific activation does the trick?
If so, it is unlikely the task lists will be shared across all subsites.Best regards,
Nick

In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] error on 'Create new task list'Hi dB,
does this occur every time a task list is created? Were there any special characters in the task list name (anything but normal alphanumeric characters)?
The insert of data is handled by WordPress’ native functions, that error indicates something went wrong while inserting but it is unclear what.
I updated the plugin so it would display WordPress’ error message when this occurs. Could you please update the plugin and paste the entire message here if the issue still occurs?I haven’t tested the plugin with a multisite, so that is likely the cause.
Best regards,
Nick

In reply to: [Simple Tasks & Todo's] pro versionHi Muneera,
the pro version is still in development unfortunately, at this time only the free version is available.
As there are some other projects I urgently need to work on, I can’t estimate a time of completion. The soonest would be end of Jan, early Feb.
There will be a demo to test the Pro version ??
