Ah great thank you – so what way do we do it, shall I get the client to buy the license and ask for an extra one for the test server?
Thanks Steve, any ideas about my last question, do we go ahead and purchase the Pro version and use that on the test server, and then use the same registration key on the eventual live version? Or if we can’t do that how would we get round having to buy it twice?
Hi Steve,
That’s fantastic, thanks for confirming. Actually I have another query, I am building the site on a test server at the moment – should we go ahead and purchase the Pro version and use that on the test server, and then use the same registration key on the eventual live version? Or if we can’t do that how would we get round having to buy it twice?

In reply to: [Post Grid and Gutenberg Blocks - ComboBlocks] Cannot work out Masonry layoutHi Raju,
Thanks, my mistake! Weirdly it seems that Safari Inspector wasn’t showing the resulting change when I tried to add margin-bottom, even with the !important flag. So I just figured it wasn’t working – but when I added it in the actual code, sure enough you are right, it works.
Also I’ve decided to make the other Grid a Masonry grid anyway so it is now working correctly, and to be honest I wouldn’t rule out it was my own convoluted coding to make the margins work on that other grid that was messing it up. So, all good, and thank you for your help!

In reply to: [Post Grid and Gutenberg Blocks - ComboBlocks] Cannot work out Masonry layoutHi Raju
The plugin was updated to include the Gutter setting for the Masonry layout which is great, however it is currently only accepting one figure, whereas we were hoping to have a larger margin below each Grid item, so something like:
0 32px 64px 32px
Would it be possible to amend it so that it can accept the above settings?
The update has also seemingly messed up my other Grid which uses the non-Masonry default layout, I will have a closer look as to how.
Thanks,

In reply to: [Post Grid and Gutenberg Blocks - ComboBlocks] Cannot work out Masonry layoutHi Raju,
Thanks so much for your detailed help, it’s really appreciated! As you can see from the page I’ve done what you asked and everything is looking better. However, we are still not there – you see, the design is that there *should* be margins between the items, so each item should have:
margin: 0 16px 32px 16px;
…with the exception that, like I mentioned before, there should however be no margin-left on the first item of every column, and no margin-right on the 3rd item of every column, so that the Post Grid is flush left and right with the rest of the content on the page, and takes up 100% width of the content area.
Is that possible to achieve with the masonry layout?
Thanks,
NickHi,
Thanks again for replying but as far as I’m aware I have already set the post thumbnail size correctly already, my functions.php file looks like this:
<?php function my_theme_enqueue_styles() { $parent_style = 'parent-style'; // This is 'twentyfifteen-style' for the Twenty Fifteen theme. wp_enqueue_style( $parent_style, get_template_directory_uri() . '/style.css' ); wp_enqueue_style( 'child-style', get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/style.css', array( $parent_style ), wp_get_theme()->get('Version') ); } add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'my_theme_enqueue_styles' ); set_post_thumbnail_size( 4000, 9999 ); ?>
Do you think the fact that I added 9999 for unlimited height could be creating the problem? It seems to be the correct convention as per the instructions slightly further down the page you linked to.
Thanks again for your help!
Nick
Hi
Thanks for your response!
Yes I created a child theme. How can I rectify this problem? As far as I can see I have done everything to change the settings to allow images to be displayed as per their actual dimensions, what have I neglected to do?
Thanks
Nick
