In reply to: [Astra] Astra breaks Gutenberg column block margin behaviorThanks for elaborating on this.
This information is actually very worrying. It essentially means that on an existing site new fixes and improvements don’t get applies.
How many other fixes to small issues and bugs have not been applied to my Astra updates?
Do you have an overview page of all filters that fix bugs for existing users? A Google search for
gtn_image_group_css_comp
doesn’t show any results.Thanks

In reply to: [Astra] Astra breaks Gutenberg column block margin behaviorHi Herman,
Thanks for the information.
I’m on v2.5.4 but the bug is still there. Why is it not fixed on my WordPress although I run a version > 2.4.4?
Also I’m not following what you mean with new users and existing users? Is my version different to a fresh Astra install although it’s up to date?
Thanks!
Thanks for your reply.
Sorry I forgot to mention: While trying to get it running I did try both configurations, the one from the FAQ and the one mentioned in the forum post. Unfortunately to no avail.
Also because it stopped working on the old server as well I assume the issue is related to a recent plugin update.
After reading this recent thread I decided to check if the plugin still works on the old Litespeed server. And indeed I’m getting the same error message on the old Litespeed server.
Nothing has changed on the server, thus I’m suspecting a recent plugin update introduced this issue?

In reply to: [Astra] Astra breaks Gutenberg column block margin behaviorHi Herman,
Thanks for taking the time to check on this.
To replicate this, you need to resize the browser window until it’s between 600px and 782px.
Please have a look at this screenshot.
Thanks

In reply to: [Chatbot with IBM watsonx Assistant] How to set custom context variables?Hi,
Thanks for the code and explanation.
I didn’t test it yet as we were considering moving away from IBM Watson because of the serious performance issues.
Since this has been resolved to some degree (pages with the chatbot window are still very slow), I’ll look into this soon.
Thanks for your patience and help!

In reply to: [Chatbot with IBM watsonx Assistant] Major performance issuesHi,
That’s great news!
I confirm that now the resources get only loaded on pages where the chat box is being displayed.
Thank you fo this fix, it’s much appreciated!

In reply to: [Astra] Can’t enableYou can simply update the Astra theme and Astra Pro from your WordPress Dashboard.
I read this like: free and pro support this feature.
Thanks for clarifying.

In reply to: [Astra] Can’t enableHi, the tutorial makes it not clear this feature is limited to the Pro version.

In reply to: [Chatbot with IBM watsonx Assistant] Major performance issuesAny news on this?
While PageSpeed has already been a Google ranking signal for a while, just last week they decided to put even more weight on this by releasing the Core Web Vitals, see e.g. this news article.
I optimized everything I could on my WP, but the IBM Watson Chatbot plugin alone increases the LCP (Largest Contentful Paint) by approx. 57%. Here’s the loading times:
Plugin disabled: 1.4 seconds
Plugin enabled: 2.2 secondsI have 30+ plugins enabled and while the three slowest add 0.1-0.3 seconds each, the Chatbot with IBM Watson plugin is the one which slows down the whole WordPress installation by far the most. It alone puts my website from green (good) to orange (needs improvement) in the PageSpeed Insights report (and the Google search console).
Is there a workaround to disable the loading of the 7 additional requests on all pages except the ones where the shortcode is being used? This would really help for now.

In reply to: [Chatbot with IBM watsonx Assistant] How to set custom context variables?Hi @intelahelp
The goal is to track conversion with e.g. Microsoft advertising (Bing ads).
When auto-tagging of MSCLKID is enabled, the URL will contain a unique ID named MSCLKID which can be stored in a cookie. Next I need to pass the value of the MSCLKID as context variable to the Watson assistant so I can save it with the conversations (which get sent to to our email).
Thanks

In reply to: [Astra] Preloading fonts, but Lighthouse throws warningJust noticed the following warning in the console of the Chrome web developer tools:

Looks like there’s still no perfect solution out there.
