I know, but this is not what I mentioned.

I wanted the opposite: A sidebar which is displayed on pages, but not on the homepage.

This can’t be done with this plugin, but with other plugins.

Re-tested it by moving images from /subfolder1 to /subfolder2/subsubfolder1.

Physically contents after move:
/subfolder1 -> The thumbnails of the images, but not the images anymore.
/subfolder2/subsubfolder1 -> The images including the thumbnails.

Displayed in MLF before sync of the folders:
/subfolder1 -> Nothing
/subfolder2/subsubfolder1 -> The moved images

Displayed in MLF after sync of the folders:
/subfolder1 -> All the thumbnails
/subfolder2/subsubfolder1 -> The moved images

This looks like a bug to me.

Maybe the string gets loaded in the context of the plugin which outputs the content (incl. string)?

Yes, that’s one way I tried to translate the custom strings.

I have a custom child theme named mycustomtheme and a manually created POT file located at /wp-content/themes/mycustomtheme/languages/mycustomtheme.pot which contains my string:

msgid "Hello world"
msgstr ""

Then there’s a bundle for the child theme which contains a language file, see screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/eBfQeJr.png

When I edit the language and click sync, the string from mycustomtheme.pot will get loaded and I can translate and save it. But on the frontend, the string won’t show the translated version.
