The most important thing I learned (the hard way), is to get your permalinks sorted – first!. Changing them later to nice urls (like https://example.com/2011/article-about-something instead of https://example.com/?page_id=317) to me is still not working. Hope this helpds a bit.
Do you mean SEF (Search Engine Friendly) URLs? Any setting to make it SEF?
