In reply to: [The Events Calendar] Migration to 6 Seems Stuck@jaimemarchwinski @abzlevelup I’m having the exact same issue: I have 1700 events, and the migration preview process gets stuck at 348. I have reinstalled a backup of my site and a fresh install of TEC and TEC pro, but still no chance: I’m getting stuck this time at 349.
Are you planning on releasing a corrective that addresses this bug? Even if this new version of the Event Calendar can work without having migrated to the new DB, it doesn’t make sense to update if it’s not to be able to fully use the new features of the Event Calendar + Pro.
Thanks!`@cfinke it seems Listable has addressed this issue in its latest theme update. At least I wasn’t able to reproduce this bug after upgrading to the lastest version of the theme and to Akismet 3.0. So this thread can indeed be definitely closed.
Once again thank you for your extremely valuable assistance! I really appreciate. Thanks.@cfinke thank you so much for investigating this issue so thoroughly! I appreciate so much your assistance. I thought about trying to reproduce the issue on mobile via a link, but then I thought that even if it worked, it wouldn’t solve my problem with the menu ^^. But you’re right: I added a Login link in the footer of the page so that it’s not hidden behind a hamburger menu, and the login window pops on any page of the site now.
I will reach out to Listable to report this conflict. But since they’re neither super reactive nor eager to solve minor bugs like that one (based on my experience of working with them for the past 7 years), I doubt this will be ever addressed. In the meantime I will keep Akismet 4.2.5 running on my site. Thanks again for all your help with this issue! You guys rock

In reply to: [Pricing Table Plugin] Shortcodes@reputeinfosystems thanks for getting back to me. I tried to embed the shortcode in your pricing table, but instead of showing the currency in USD, or EUR, or GBP, etc, it shows only the shortcode. I tried it on two different sites, and have the same issue.
In the current price table I’m using (Easy Pricing Tables by fatcat apps), shortcodes show prices in the right currency (USD, or EUR, or GBP). But when the same shortcode is used in ARprice, it just shows the shortcode.
I would really like to use ARprice, but if it’s not compatible with Easy Digital Download’s shortcodes, I can’t use it ??

@cfinke thanks for getting back to me, I appreciate. I upgraded Akismet to 5.0 again on https://fleamapketstg.wpengine.com/ . Again, this issue only occurs when trying to log in from a smartphone (I tried on an iPhone and Android phone and reproduced the same issue twice).
If you try and log in (the login button is located in the menu on the left – 3 vertical bars) from the homepage or from a category page like for instance https://fleamapketstg.wpengine.com/listing-region/europe/united-kingdom/london/ the login modal/window will show up.
However, if you try and log in from an individual listing page, like for instance https://fleamapketstg.wpengine.com/listing/the-mayfair-antiques-fine-art-fair/ , nothing happens. No modal/login page shows up.
When I downgrade to Akismet 4.2.5 or earlier, I can log in again from any page.
Thanks!
Hi @misulicus ,
I just found out that the EDD Multi Currency extension can feature currencies in a dropdown list. That partly answers the inquiry I sent yesterday ??
Regarding my last question (“are prices shown in the user’s chosen local currency in EDD’s reporting, emails notifications and invoices”), my main concern is that with the Aelia currency switcher, the following bug used to happen: when a new user purchased a recurring subscription in his own currency (ex: a 49USD membership he paid 6700JPY), the initial payment would appear as 49USD in my EDD reporting (together with the 6700JPY in brackets), which is correct. However, the next recurring payment would appear as 6700USD in my EDD reporting, instead of 49USD. And this would happen indifferently whether it was charged via PayPal or Stripe. I think it’s a bug that was linked to Aelia not being fully integrated with EDD, and not connected to EDD’s reporting.
I hope this is something that has been taken into account (or will be addressed) with the EDD Multi-Currency extension, so that payments and recurring payments in a foreign currency, are still correctly converted in my reporting (using my shop’s default currency).
Thanks!
Hey @misulicus thanks for letting me know, that’s great news! I had a look at the documentation, and EDD’s Multi Currency extension looks very promising! I have a couple of questions:
– does your plugin automatically serves the right currency based on the User geo location/IP Adress (like Aelia)?
– is there the possibility to choose currencies via a drop-down list instead of buttons (like Aelia)? I’m offering 15 currencies to choose from on my website: that would make a lot of buttons (that’s why the drop-down list is best).
– are prices shown in the user’s chosen local currency in EDD’s reporting, emails notifications and invoices (via specific shortcodes)? In my EDD’s sales reports are prices shown in foreign currency + my site’s default currency? Thanks a lot in advance for this additional info! If some of the features above are not yet available, could you give me an approximate timeline of when they’ll be available? So I know when I can switch from Aelia currency switcher, to EDD’s Multi Currency.
Cheers,

Hi @misulicus thanks for stepping in! I forgot to mention in my previous message that when customers purchase a subscription on my website, they have a profile automatically created via the EDD auto register’s plugin.
I also noticed that this delay with the PayPal connection was particularly long when new customers where checking out: it would take up to 10 seconds for them to be redirected to PayPal (PayPal popup would become active only after 10 seconds). However, when an already existing customers was logged in to manually renew a subscription, the process only takes 5 seconds.
Could this be because EDD auto register delays the PayPal connection, since it creates an account at the same time? Would this explain why logged in customers who renew a subscription manually, only need to wait 5 secs for PayPal to become active, when non registered customers require at least 10 seconds? Do you know how long in general it takes for the PayPal pop up to be fully loaded and active?
Thanks in advance for any additional hint you could share!
@degtard have you checked that you already are an approved partner to use the PayPal Commerce Platform solution? I had a similar 403 issue with my site, that would be triggered if I was using a PayPal account other than the one for which I was approved as a partner. Dear @cena,
Thanks a lot for the detailed explanation. It makes sense that Listable might be the culprit here since it also seems they haven’t compatibility-checked their theme with WP Job Manager for at least the last two releases (also, search by keywords using the search field on Listable, returns incoherent results in versions later than WP Job Manager 1.32.3 + breaks CSS). I reached out to them, but I don’t expect much from them as #1 they usually take 2-3 weeks to get back to their customers and #2 they do not address core compatibility issues linked to 3rd-party plugins as they now invest as little time as possible in maintaining their theme (which also has compatibility issues with W P6.0)
Once again thanks a lot for taking the time to help me understand the problem.
All the best,
Nick@michaelnutt thank you so much for taking the time to check the sites and for your answer. Unfortunately, I’m still seeing a discrepancy between the two sites, although I’m browsing it from different devices and web browsers. However, if I re-install WP 5.9.3 the problem goes away. I’m not sure what’s causing this issue with WP 6.0. I uninstalled all plugins, and I’m still having this issue unless I downgrade my site to WP 5.9.3. I reached out to Listable (the theme running WP Job Manager) two weeks ago to ask them if it’s not a compatibility issue on their side, but they haven’t replied yet.
I checked my site with https://geopeeker.com/ and it shows the same issue from different locations around the world. So this does not seem to be an isolated issue linked to my browser or computer. :/ Also, it seems this bug is only visible to signed-in users, but deactivating the cache plugin doesn’t prevent this from happening either. As soon as I’m back to to WP 5.9.3, everything works fine. This is weird
@mlchaves Great plugin, thanks a lot! If restricted pages don’t get crawled, then there are definitely SEO issues when using the Content Control plugin (independently from whether or not the content is qualitative or not). If half my page is hidden, then bots can’t crawl the whole content, which means that my site won’t rank as well as if this content wouldn’t be hidden.
It would be great to have a similar solution that exclusively hides content to human visitors (smart ones could still “inspect” the page or display the page source to grab the content), but at least search engines could crawl each page in its entirety.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Disable XML-RPC-API] Disable XML-RPC-API causing conflict in WP 5.9@aminnz thanks a lot for the update and letting us know. I updated your plugin to v 2.1.3 and everything seems to be working smoothly! At least I can edit and create articles (unlike with v 2.1.2).
Thanks a lot! Great plugin by the way ??Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [Disable XML-RPC-API] Disable XML-RPC-API causing conflict in WP 5.9Hi, I’d like to report the exact same issue: I could not create a new post with Gutenberg, nor edit published posts. error message “The editor has encountered an unexpected error.”
“TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘current’)
at https://www.website.com/wp-includes/js/dist/keyboard-shortcuts.min.js:2:3819
at Tj (https://www.website.com/wp-includes/js/dist/vendor/react-dom.min.js:179:399)”After deactivating plugins one by one, it appears XML-RPC-API was causing this issue. As long as it is deactivated I can create article drafts and edit past blogs or pages. Basically anything using the editor. If I reactivate XML-RPC-API I get the error message “The editor has encountered an unexpected error.”
This is definitely something you may want to look into.
Thanks!
