In reply to: [Sermon Manager] Theme compatibilityHi,
I apologize for the delay in response.
The support for your theme has been added. Please download the development version of the plugin from here https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/sermon-manager-for-wordpress.zip, and install it like any other plugin. But first, remove existing Sermon Manager. No data will be lost.
Thank you so much for your patience.

In reply to: [Sermon Manager] Help! Podcast won’t display on iTunes/RSSHi there,
There is a way to solve this, and it’s an easy one!
Just go to Sermon Manager Settings -> Podcasting, and check the option named “Redirect”. After that, two fields will show up, in the old URL put the existing feed URL, and in the new one put the URL that Sermon Manager gave you. Save the settings and try visiting the old URL – it should redirect to the new one.
After that, you don’t have to do anything, iTunes will pick it up and get the new sermons. ??

In reply to: [Sermon Manager] PHP version incompatibilityHi!
Are you using latest Sermon Manager, 2.15.6?
Because I have took a look at the code, and we are not using that functionality anywhere in that file (or rest of the code).
Also, I can personally confirm that Sermon Manager will work on latest PHP 7.2, since that is the main version we use for development.

Thanks for the report, the bug has been fixed. ??
The fix will be included in the next release (happening today) or you can use pre-release version until then.

In reply to: [Sermon Manager] All sermons disappeared after updateHi all,
Please update to Sermon Manager 2.15.5 (released a few moments ago), and the issue will be resolved.
What happened?
The error happened with good intentions – we wanted to disable some of Sermon Manager functionality, without breaking the whole website, for the users who do not have output buffering enabled.
What is output buffering?
Without output buffering (the default), your HTML is sent to the browser in pieces as PHP processes through your script. With output buffering, your HTML is stored in a variable and sent to the browser as one piece at the end of your script.
(source)
In simple English, output buffering allows us to take a bit of the page, process it or store it for later use, and output it at the moment we want (or we can decide to not output it at all, based on circumstances).
The output buffering is controlled by PHP, specifically, in the PHP’s configuration file named
php.ini
.What happens when output buffering is disabled?
The problem occurs when the server does not have output buffering enabled, and in older versions, if we tried to use it without checking, the website would crash with an unrecoverable Fatal Error. So we basically tried to avoid that from happening, but we made a mistake somewhere in the code.
Verdict:
The check has been disabled until it is tested properly in future.

In reply to: [Sermon Manager] Sermon Sort Fields Still not WorkingHey,
Thanks for that demo.
Alright, so, I’ve fixed it for shortcode + filtering, and for archive/taxonomy + filtering, but I did not consider this use case.
Thoughts about adding an option to the shortcode that would output a different code for that use case?
Awesome! Thank you for confirming it. ??
Hi,
Does the issue still occur if you check option named “Excerpt Override” in Sermon Manager Settings -> Advanced?
