I’m having the same issue. I get a critical error on password reset. I’m on the latest version and my settings are set to My Account as you’ve mentioned here.
A member notified me they couldn’t reset their password, but got a critical error. I was able to replicate it myself by filling out the reset password form on a test account. I never received the rest email so tried again. That’s when I got the error.
