Thank you so much, Alan. I will give it a try. We at the library only use paypal for extremely basic collection; nothing sophisticated at all. I had to look up what deprecated means, so the paypal instructions talking about sandboxes, GitHub, fork collections, and java script files had me spinning around in circles.

Thank You @matustheboss!!! I’ve been trying to get rid of the underlines for a week! The other day the thought floated through my mind that maybe it was a border, but I never followed through trying to fix it that way. ??
BTW, for the person who said the fix doesn’t work, isn’t there an order the links have to be listed in? a:link, a:visited, a:hover, a:active

I’ve moved to a new theme. I am the vote for “broken” and i’d like to remove it but neither do i want to say that the configuration plugin is compatible because i’m not using it anymore. Am I able to remove my vote?

Since I no longer use the plugin, I can’t recall. Sorry.

Yes I can get to the databases but I have no idea how to extract info. The backups are done daily, so if it backs up the themes and plugins, then the corrupted files are there? I don’t know how that works.
Anyway, all the wordpress stuff is in public/wordpress/
I created two new installations of wordpress, eventually deleted one of them, but there’s also public/wordpress_0/ now.
Good question about the host. It’s GoDaddy (NOT my choice – all done before I volunteered to help out this veterinarian and her office manaager) and where risenphoenix comes in I don’t know.
The office manager has decided we may go with a commercial theme. She and I are going to talk next week while we wait for risenphoenix to fix or some education from this support forum to help me straighten it out.
The theme I’m trying to use for wordpress_0 is twentyfifteen. WordPress/ theme is Nirvana and it will not update. The wordpress_0 site looked acceptable for a while, but now the theme is MIA!.

I do have access to the webhosting control panel. Backup is there, but I don’t know the steps of implementing it. Kind of afraid to do anything now.
We use go daddy and plesk. The host is risen phoenix and the guy I emailed said he doesn’t know much about web development and he’d ask his partner at Bubtown. I am a non-professional (obviously) who is simply helping out a small business -veterinarian in NJ.
I also have ftp access.
In the new installation, I downloaded theme twentytwelve. But when I log on to plesk and look at the themes, it’s not there. I refresh and clear cache and still not there, so I’m hesitant and think i must be doing something wrong.

Thank you for replying, Lilaea. I will attempt to follow your instructions, but it’s the update to the CTC that won’t install. The theme I am using is Nirvana by Cryout Serious Theme. At least the non-admin site still works, and as a non-pro, I hesitate to make changes that could result in further breaks.

my sympathies, Jack. No, I had to rebuild the entire site. I’m gonna be real careful before installing future new releases. I see an update with correction of some bugs available today, but I can’t find in the documentation any mention of my problem, though I could easily have missed it. I will be super cautious before installing any updates in the future!

I don’t know how to make a backtick. I will delete the plugin and try something else. ??
